  1. My Montana friend Tom is not coming down due to work commitments. He's been here 8 of my 14 trips and I went with my ex the first time. Lots of PASRs have been here. Johnny style lived in JH for part of a season back in the 90s during a gap year and skied some incredible powder 5 years ago here. Nazareth Jay was here in 2010 and 2015 and AngryHugo rode some deep pow in 2011 and was here other trips...TP4 I know is having a blast here how can you not. If any PASRs ever wanna ski Jackson when I visit it's always an open invite don't care if you ski or snowboard or a level 3+ whatever. That's what I like about Jackson hole it's all about skiing and they've been open 51 years so a lot of history. I was to busy skiing 60mph on 100 yard wide groomers to take many shots today but I found a few. Contrast in the sky between 840am and 11ish
  2. I appreciate the reports by PARidge and JFDan when I'm gone. It's the first thing I look at when I get on the bus. The only way to cure the sugar is more snowmaking and consistent cold...i prefer the corn and apple sauce.
  3. Cool thanks for the info. I actually had third chair the one day this season at Blue...I still had a good day though lol
  4. January 29, 2017 day 5 of 7.... Hey All, I'm done with another fun day of skiing at Jackson Hole mountain resort. Today began with a big time inversion...zero at the base and 30 degrees up high. First run on amphitheater was the best it's been all week..just so smooth and absolutely not a single person on it..probably because we were ahead of all the people..up thunder and grand was also super sweet perhaps the run of the day as we returned to it several more times. Generally stayed out of the woods and bumps except for a few forays as they are getting awfully scratchy and eastern like with no new snow in 5 days and a lot of traffic. Did an early run on Rendevous trail which we usually don't ski early as we usually cut left into Bivoac woods and it was super good groomed cord. By 10am we had already racked up 5 runs as they let us on the first gondola a few minutes early and we were racking up 11 minute laps on the Thunder chair which is about 1500 vert and services some of the best terrain on the mountain. Laramie bowl wasn't as good as Grand as the cord didn't hold up as long and lots of sideslippers. Also did another amphitheater from the top of the thunder and some funky shadows up high but generally very nice visibility. Around 11am we skied down to the base of the Casper lift via the Nez Perce gravity traverse and it was like skiing into the ice box. Managed to find some fresh cord in the stash park and ended up skiing the two thousand something vert to the base via Blacktail and sundance and my face froze as I boarded the Teewinot lift. Up Apres vous tried to keep an eye out for TP4 but didn't see him and he doesn't respond to texts oh well he has two more days for the Atomic Jeff and GSS tour de Jackson Hole...at top of AV was a little warmer like 20 degrees vs zero at the base and 30 on top of Sublette. Skied down to the Teton lift via a cat track and lower kemmerer which is a super steep groomer then at the top of Teton lift researched lunch options in absolute warmth..we wanted to go somewhere new for lunch and Teton Thai is closed Sunday's ended up skiing the groomer along the ridge I think crags run, made some yellow snow and then took a variety of roots back into the freezer and ate lunch at Osteria in the hotel terra. I had oxtail soup and pasta Bolagnase and I left satiated now on the bus back to town and about to have my strongest edible..so should be numb in about an hour. Not a very long ski day but racked up about 12-15 fast groomers and only the last few runs were crowded and meh conditions...two more ski days left and a good chance for snow on Tuesday. Would love at least 4" on Tuesday Moe Ghoul lol. I'll post pictures later.
  5. Who was in the house?? I was actually watching the webcam at 8:45am east coast time when I was eating my breakfast sang looking for PASRs. I think I saw Root...
  6. Barb what was the cost of ski train?? The only limitation I see is not getting there early enough for first chair. How far is station from the lifts.
  7. No cloud layer today. Zero at base 20 at the top mad inversion yo
  8. Thanks..maybe some snow last ski day!!! Woods are still chalky will change when it gets into the 30s up high today.
  9. Good one Toast I'm laughing so hard..you're awesome Wahahahahahooey
  10. Blurry bus picture. Rosa Parks would be jealous of my seat.
  11. You don't have to explain I'm the king of threadjacks. You ski blue yesterday or today??
  12. TP4 try and make it to the line for first gondola by 8:35 if not text Jeff and meet us bottom of Thunder. I wanna give you and your bro a tour.
  13. Thanks Moe Ghoul...next year you should come to Jackson hole with me and atomic Jeff. If you wanna save a little Johnny Cash you can bunk with Atomic Jeff!!!
  14. At least you didn't go ass over tea kettle yesterday outside the mangy moose in ski boots on a wooden path with ice particles.
  15. For all of y'all who don't have a season pass at Blue $14 four hour tickets on Valentine's Day is a great deal only tree fiddy an hour. It's on a Tuesday so probably see Mamaskeez as well!!!
  16. This isn't about camelback was about a death on the Slopes. I declare this week safety week!!!
  17. Why has she lost interest? Hard to go back to slow lifts and short runs after blue. Aren't you closer to blue as well.
  18. Nope it's all good. Right now on bus just skied another gondola run after 40 ounces of IPA got stoned in the gondola and on way down now Jill is high tailing it to 415 yoga class and I'm on the bus sweating like I just popped a Molly, ate spicy food, went through a field sobriety test or sat in a sauna. It got warm out there and last run was mostly bumps and woods. Nice day today but gosh darn this time of day the entire mountain is in a shadow. I did enjoy the sunshine today...didn't bring me down. Pennsylvania representing!!!! High in the Hobacks. I have this song in my head. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nzhzCF77GDo
  19. 1/28/17...day 4 of 7. Hey All, Today at Jackson hole was another great day. I began on the gondola again and rode up with Atomic Jeff, Dennis our buddy we skied with yesterday, a ski instructor and his two students. Had a beautiful empty and untouched amphitheater to start then went up Thunder then down Grand where I got some great photos of atomic Jeff pushing his Kastles to the max. Then a fast run down the cirque back into amphitheater up thunder again followed by Laramie bowl which was very nice and fast. Up Sublette and hit up Bivoac woods down to the Sublette chair. Atomic Jeff was tracking TP4 and seemed like he skied back down to the base of the gondola after taking the gondola up so we didn't catch him. I did meet my friend Jill who lives in Utah near Powder Mountain and Snowbasin at the base of the Sublette and she joined us for some Hobacks and I hit her weed pen a few times for a Rocky Mountain high. Then hit Union pass to teewinot to apres vous to Teton lift and skied some decent chalky north facing glades with another stop for some more cough cough. Then at the base of apres vous saw TP4, his dad, his brother and his cousin and I thought he said he was going to hit Saratoga bowl where we went but he took off Mach looney down a groomer never to be seen again. Ended up having a late lunch at the Alpenhof with atomic Jeff, Jill and Jill's boyfriend who was in an instructor clinic and now bout to get some edibles nom nom nom. Holla. Pics to come.
