Ok I forgive you Salty that’s understandable and the patrollers at Blue have been respectful we’re all brothers and sisters with a common interest hurling ourselves down frozen mountains on fiberglass wood and metal…at least that’s what Johnny law said.

Skiing came easy to me because I spent a lot of time at the fun rink first day was big boulder February 1989 with my dad for beginner lesson rode chair to top skied beginner trail fine. Then I really became a skier with ski club in 6th grade first day at blue January 4, 1991 when the mountain most of us ski at was just a young teenagers going through growing pains. Back then there were long liftlines for the t bar and the challenge chair but you could enjoy all 923 vertical feet from the old peak. Since then the ski area or as they call it now a resort has gotten both higher and lower.

Lies outright lies…Blue does not have yellow jackets but your beloved camelback does. A swear this cart Narc could be a yellow jacket.

I really hope my report earlier didn’t keep you from skiing. Even in the worst conditions it’s always worth getting out there.

On weekdays it’s a GS or even super GSS and weekends between a slalom and a GS….maybe I’ll bring Blue back a Whoa zone sign from Jackson hole. The yellow jackets take that shit seriously but you know where they are.

Wow I don’t even keep track of the medals…I’ve always been platinum in my mind except at Nastar and spelling bees. I did win a geography bee but only for the grade no big dealio. ski content. The guns are blasting at Blue and looks like fresh chalky man made Perder on the east side of the horseshoe and lower Vista.

Nothing to be nervous about…it’s PA it’s gonna be icy and maybe even a little sugar on the sides.

There’s nothing to hold up…

Hey All, I’m back from another quick before work morning session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I pulled into the lower lot at 830am and it was 26 degrees under sunny skies with light winds. In the house were Atomic Jeff, C1, Harold, Bethlehem Ford guy and Oz. Second civilian chair and onto Coming soon which was decent firm cord on the left side and a few icy darker spots on the left side. The ice crept in a little farther right at the lower part of coming soon and then transitioning into lower Paradise the surface went to straight ice..I guess they were blowing water again on paradise so the conditions were bad but at least fairly smooth. Me and Atomic Jeff skied the same Root six times then peaced out. It will be interesting what the weather does tomorrow into Friday..probably a mixed bag. Snowmaking cannons were blasting on tubing, lower Main Street, midway and Lazy mile. Despite variable conditions it was nice to get out. JADIP

I love seeing those snowmaking cannons blast. What a nice little recovery and terrain expansion Blue is having. Tubing will be ready they better have plenty of cocoa

Looking at the webcams it sure looked empty at Blue this morning. WTGAI. I’ll either be back tomorrow or Thursday at opening.

Salty if you kneel in front of Jack Frost Dan he’ll probably kick you in the nuts.

The problem is that we’ll get alot of the camelback people at Blue especially early season and it will make Blue more crowded so I oppose that idea. If you want to ski camelback you get a sweet 20% discount with your Blue pass. The epic pass is only good at crappy PA places.
