  1. If you did 3/10-3/14 you could do $605 direct Newark to Jackson hole. Flying on Tuesdays is usually the cheapest.
  2. Nice glad you had fun. What are the dates you’re looking at? March actually can be more expensive to Rocky Mountain resorts. It’s considered high season at least the first three weeks and rental cars can be more money then as well.
  3. If it’s not running prepare for some serious liftlines. Amazing what a workhorse the quad has become. I remember the days before the six pack if the quad was down there’d be like a 45 minute liftline for the challenge double. Now we cry like babies when it’s a 5 minute wait and the fickle gates has me doing the Penguin belly slide version of the Limbo..don’t push me when I’m on Razors edge I’m trying not to lose my head ahuh huh huh it’s like a mountain sometimes it makes me wonder how I keep from going under..the gates the gates
  4. Yo Ding A Ling a Loo is a bathroom..also short for Louis
  5. Good stuff and no Loo at the top of a couloir but there are waffles and a bathroom.
  6. Yup yup yup I wanna ski in the freshly fallen snow but also want the early morning cord and uncrowded runs.
  7. I believe direct Newark to Jackson hole this year was under $500. Can also fly through Chicago or Denver if on united or Dallas if on American. Definitely go to Jackson hole. Did you ski anything off the Tram at Big Sky? Liberty bowl and Bavarerian forest both nice. You should post a report. 10 minute liftlines for Montana is huge. The two seasons I lived in bozeman and skied mainly Bridger bowl and sometimes big sky I don’t think I waited over five minutes for any lift except the big sky tram.
  8. No now they close different runs to blow on gotta resurface everything first before they move on to new terrain. They have a plan until you’re in the war room with Ice Echilon and the other snowmakers you don’t know.
  9. Early bird season pass at Blue was $429 I believe them $529 over the summer and early fall and then $629. I honestly don’t care if the price of a season pass goes up a couple hundred at Blue if it were to include other resorts...or even if it was for Blue only..Blue is smart for having economically priced season passes because the people who only ski a few days a month now buy a season pass instead of perhaps buying a few day passes a season.
  10. Last night they shut down previously opened terrain to blow like upper Main Street and nightmare dreamweaver and I imagine it’s the same thing today. They’re smart to build up the base first before starting from scratch on sidewinder and switchback.
  11. With AT&T service in the lower lot we can track the storm.
  12. Because they are resurfacing already open terrain first. Patience old grasshopper and the bumps will probably be reseeded as well one more time this season.
  13. They’ll get sidewinder and switchback open fast. Nothing bold about that prediction. Coming soon is natural snow only will be dick deep in 36 hours.
  14. 4” falling 10am-10pm best conditions will likely be Sunday morning when it’s all groomed in.
  15. Sounds like a lot of speculation to me. It is crazy that season passes at Blue are cheaper now than a decade ago. Day passes are significantly more money with less flexibility. No more morning passes, afternoon passes or twilight. No ski club night, men’s night, ladies night...but again cheap season passes. Would be nice if the VIP line for the quad last night meant something.
  16. Lows in the teens five of the next six nights. I think blue will be fully 100%’open in a week.
  17. I’ll add a little evening edition update here. I arrived at the lower lot around 635Pm. It was in the mid 30s with strong westerly winds. In the house were Atomic Jeff, MBike Mike, Nastar Glenn and Matt Edge. With the six pack down there was a couple minute wait for the quad. First run down paradise had deep thick sugar and wasn’t that busy. Lazy mile was full of aggro beginners and similar conditions. The falls was nice. Snowmaking was occurring on nightmare dreamweaver, upper Main Street and a few other spots. Razors and Razorback were open but I didn’t ski it looked chunky. Had a few lot beers and experienced a nice 15 minute long snow squall. Must have snowed a centimeter. All in all not the best conditions but winter is back!!!
  18. Sometimes challenge as well and sometimes switchback.
  19. Yeah I thought they kept it going later than 2007. A lot of changes began occurring in 2007 when Ray died. That’s when they went from 730 to 8am opening on weekends.
  20. Thank you..sounds like this is gonna be a nowcasting event.
