  1. Picture of Rodney’s crew and the MILFs
  2. I still spent $7-8,000 this ski season accounting for gear and trips
  3. And Ski2Live my per day cost was $6.88 this past season at Blue mountain put that in your half pipe and smoke it..
  4. I don’t think you could have asked for a better closing day. There was a photo on Facebook of transformer box crew from yesterday late afternoon and there must have been 60 people many of them lurkers on here. Wazup Slim..yesterday was cool cause the crews were merged we hungout with Kurt’s crew and the shady bunch and the folks who listen to Grateful Dead. A lot of days this season we were rolling 2 six packs deep...usually on the more low key days I had a few people to ski with and even when I was a one man wolf pack at blue I see a bunch of familiar faces..usually tough to take a piss without somebody asking me about conditions...corner of lazy is soft don’t tell anybody lol. It was a good and long ski season at Blue..Root Friday opening is just such a bonus and downsides were not a lot of terrain the first month of the season and also not much natural snow but we avoided total washouts and there were some nice windows of chalky packed powder and a few spring skiing days..a half dozen sausage Sundays..one machete...and a portable karaoke machine...
  5. Probably a double blue..it will take a few ski seasons to figure the nuisances of that run. That’s great will help spread the people out.
  6. Why not? I think the first time I skied with ridgeRacer was at camelback. Before a few years ago PASRs were scattered about a little more with JFDan at JF, Phillycore and Ridge instructing at JF, Mixiplix was at Bear Creek as was Johnny law, and PSUFlyGuy was a Montage Guy.
  7. Wow is camelback open during the week? I bet a lot of y’all will get season passes at camelback in 20-21...wooo @saltyant
  8. Is it totally empty there?
  9. I wonder why they’re even open. Thought it was raining.
  10. Please post a report!!!! Have fun.
  11. Are you at Montage? I can’t believe everybody is so gung hoe about skiing today. Where was everybody yesterday?
  12. It is what it is. I’ll see tomorrow.
  13. It looks more badass with it on car. Anyway I plan on skiing until at least may or maybe later.
  14. I have a screen shot that says $429 until March 31.
  15. Just went to buy a pass online the price is now $529..I’m gonna call them tomorrow and see wazup.
  16. Thinking about it. If I go maybe like 930-10
  17. Post a report. Your camelback reports are the best even better it’s free with season pass. I haven’t ruled out an appearance there tomorrow.
  18. Country music has been spreading north for a decade it used to be just popular down by the mason Dixon line but has invaded all the way to canadia
  19. Looks like hero snow to me. Soft and fast. Eaf did you need a face mask? @saltyant always keeps an extra one in case you ever forget you’re. I’m a balaclava guy myself. Nice report and pictures Eaf
  20. If I wasn’t so tired from skiing and beer and food I’d give you some snow definitions. There’s dozens of snow conditions. All have their merits. Season pass is the key because you walk right to the lifts no need to mess with a ticket line and if it’s a marginal day likes chance of showers you can still ski a little and sometimes those days turn out to be the best days. The ski season is too short to cherrypick your days.
  21. Thanks for checking in. Hows the spring skiing? I haven’t checked how warm it is in VT but I’m sure you’ll have another snowfall or two. Have some maple syrup or sugar on snow it’s good
  22. Thanks for starting the thread mixiplix. Closing day was a lot of fun and a nice long day for me at Blue the true in sub tropical weather. I arrived at the lower lot at 720am after a quick stop at Sheetz for some parking lot snacks. The temperature was in the lower 50s under mostly cloudy sky’s. In the house were Root, Niko, MBike Mike, NMSki and kids, PSUFly, Mixiplix, Bethlehem ford guy, Enjorales, Pops, Nastar Glenn, Justo, Rose, GSSucks, Indiggio, TheRealKT, Ty and many others. Was a leisurely start and didnt get first chair until about 8:03AM..started on razors which was pretty smooth but still pretty firm. Then sidewinder which had a few technical spots but was better than expected. Lazy mile was super nice and Main Street has nice grooming on the top half and a little tougher lower down. Apparently the bathroom on switchback has thin cover. After a solid hour and forty minutes of skiing I went back to the lot to remove my jacket and have some beer. Bethlehem ford Guy also had some fine meats cheese and crackers. The sun was shining bright and a nice parking lot scene. Closer to noon I returned to the mighty slopes of Blue the true for some more runs. Sidewinder, paradise were all good along with a lift beer. Then back to the lot again after five or six runs of corn snow and MBike Mike was grilling up some sausage. I ended up peacing our just before 2pm and already around 75 degrees out in the valley.
  23. I have a 12 pack of perpetual chilling in my freezer. I’m giving it a few degrees more chill to withstand the unseasonably warm weather. The parking lot might be like a Br-Br-Br Brewery but I don’t have a Cooler... im in a little bit of a somber mood which is rare for me but gonna make the best of today and savor every run.
  24. I just couldn’t imagine being in the ski resort business. The payroll, insurance and utility expenses are sky high. Imagine the workman’s compensation just for the snowmakers and groomers. The cash flow is all over the place..even a place like Jackson hole finds it in their best interest to get on a multi mountain pass like the Ikon to boost cash flow and hedge against a bad season. My business does great but we need to increase sales every year to make up for all of our expenses rising every year which gasp means price increases. Last year I bucked the trend and didn’t raise prices and was up double digits..so all good..if down with no price increase I have to take a pay cut or give employees jelly of the month club membership for their Xmas bonus. It’s the gift that keeps giving Clark..thank god I don’t give employees gift cards.
  25. Hah how do you think it is when people walk up to the window at Vail and it’s $189 or whatever or more and a multi mountain epicpass starts around $650 including I believe 10 days at Vail. The new ski pricing model is a major penalty for buying tickets at the window, slight discount buying online, better discounts through ski and stay deals and liftopia and then these pass deals.
