Two seasons ago..they had most of the mountain open in 4-5 days of round the clock snowmaking..an advantage Big Boulder has is that it's so small so they don't have much terrain to cover..

A-Jeff..are you gonna be at Big Boulder on Sunday? If I ski there Saturday and Sunday along with three days in Vermont next weekend..I'll be at 7 days before the Boot opens..not to bad..

I'll be somewhere both Saturday and Sunday.

Big Boulder is giving back and needs your help! Boulder is opening for the season Friday, November 21 - 4:00pm to 10:00pm. This night will be dedicated to 3 deserving local charities. By helping these charities you will receive a complimentary snow pass for this evening.

Here's a breakdown on the local charities and what you can do to help:

* Toys for Tots: Bring a new, unwrapped toy valued at $10 or more and receive a complimentary snow pass

* Food Pantry: Bring 10 non-perishable food items such as canned vegetables, gravy, boxed food ect and receive a complimentary snow pass

* Homelss Shelter "Family Promise": All food and beverage proceeds from this evening will be donated to a local homeless shelter for families in Stroudsburg, PA

* Guests that come to Big Boulder without any of the above items can ski/ride for $25.

Big Boulder will continue operations on Saturday from 10:00am to 10:00pm, Sunday from 10:00am to 8:00pm, and midweek from 3:00pm to 9:00pm. All snow passes are just $25. At this time there are no equipment rentals or snowsport lessons available.
