JFskiDan Posted January 26, 2013 Report Share Posted January 26, 2013 Fun day at Frost today. Managed to hook up with Guitar and C1 around 8:45or so..we found PC just after 9, and Vinny at 9:30. Elevator was good early on but the little bit of powder quickly got scraped off. Still very skiable with hardpack underneath. Challange glade was great first thing and stayed pretty good throughout the whole day. you could really make nice top to bottom runs with very little obstacles. One park glade was pretty much money all day. We checked out the trees by Janes and Ridge run(?) but they havent seen the treatment that Challange Glade has recieved, very little coverage. By 11, PC had to go Disco, myself, Guitar, and Vinny made a few more East Mountain runs before Vinny had to go retrieve a relative from ski school, and hook up with the rest of his party. Bumped into Tinymoose at the bottom of East Mountain lift, and it looked like she was enjoying herself in the clinic. A few more runs and Guitar and myself went to the lodge for some of the imfamous JF food. Lodge was crowded, more crowded than the slopes for sure. vinnyv11 Posted January 27, 2013 Report Share Posted January 27, 2013 Great day today. Finally figured out what everyone was talking about when we hit up elevator lot of fun. Great conditions and a lot of fun. Trees skied great all day on east mountain and the trails really had good coverage. Had a great time meeting up with everyone kinda thinking about heading back tomorrow since the boot fitter I want to visit is there anyway. My nephew did great and I'm pretty sure my sister could really pick it up if she stuck with it. Wife is really progressing and she even came down the terrain park with some of there steeper pitches at the end if the day. We went tubing after and had a great time there fun going backwards and such with my nephew. Short runs slow lifts no people good snow vs. long runs fast lifts crowds and crap snow..pros and cons. Too true - 30 seconds and 6 turns to get down Floyds.
