Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted March 29, 2017 Report Posted March 29, 2017 How do you like Elk? Medium rare 3
Shadows Posted March 29, 2017 Report Posted March 29, 2017 Why is this tr better than your co trip? Strike 2 4
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted March 29, 2017 Report Posted March 29, 2017 Why is this tr better than your co trip? Strike 2 Because TP4 refused to be on social media in Colorado. Happens same with MBike Mike and Atomic Jeff.
theprogram4 Posted March 29, 2017 Author Report Posted March 29, 2017 I feel myself asking, "that was it?" "That was the Vermont in PA?" Blue is def better and I'd rank camelback ahead as well. Although elk is a solid 3rd in PA
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted March 29, 2017 Report Posted March 29, 2017 Is camelback better than Elk because it's an easier drive for people from Jersey?
RidgeRacer Posted March 29, 2017 Report Posted March 29, 2017 I feel myself asking, "that was it?" "That was the Vermont in PA?" Blue is def better and I'd rank camelback ahead as well. Although elk is a solid 3rd in PAI'm at Camelback right now and there's no way this place is better than elk. Just my opinion 2
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted March 29, 2017 Report Posted March 29, 2017 I'm at Camelback right now and there's no way this place is better than elk. Just my opinion I think it's because Elk doesn't have much of a terrain park
Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted March 29, 2017 Report Posted March 29, 2017 I'd take Elk over anywhere else in Eastern PA. But not over three places in the Catskills that are 15 minutes further from me.
theprogram4 Posted March 30, 2017 Author Report Posted March 30, 2017 i have a very hard time believing the 1000ft vertical claim
Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted March 30, 2017 Report Posted March 30, 2017 (edited) 1000 foot vertical at Elk is verified by at least a couple external sources. Edited March 30, 2017 by Ski2Live Live2Ski
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted March 30, 2017 Report Posted March 30, 2017 When I skied Elk in high school I got 930 vert on my avocet watch that's on the right side looking up. That watch was very accurate and I always got just shy of 1100 for blue mountain. The mountain that lied the most about vert was windham. They claimed the center high speed quad was 1550 vert and was really 1280. I just looked up elks vert and here is what I got. From Wikipedia. No way elk is 1,000 vert...900 yes. 2
Ski2Live Live2Ski Posted March 30, 2017 Report Posted March 30, 2017 (edited) Mountainvertical.com does their own assessments of "true up vertical" that can be skied on commonly skied lift served continuous fall line runs and puts Elk at 1000. That does not mean you get that off a single lift ride. Edited March 30, 2017 by Ski2Live Live2Ski
theprogram4 Posted March 30, 2017 Author Report Posted March 30, 2017 I don't know who is more delusional, elk pass holders or blue mountain pass holders lol
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted March 30, 2017 Report Posted March 30, 2017 I don't know who is more delusional, elk pass holders or blue mountain pass holders lol How are elk and blue passholders delusional?
