You used to have to skate and poll a little to get to Montezuma bowl from the top of the Lenawee lift. I’d either eat at mid mountain get a brisket sandwich or go to the bottom and eat at taco truck. Yeah, a little too late, maybe tomorrow. Got all the way down and am dipping calzone into some belgian.
eaf Posted May 12, 2018 Author Report Posted May 12, 2018 Alrighty, battery's almost dead. I'll continue skiing probably until 4, and them will check out that pass.
eaf Posted May 13, 2018 Author Report Posted May 13, 2018 Oh yeah, the Loveland Pass... Hurricane wind throwing sand and small gravel in your face, look back to Arapahoe Basin and forward to I-70. Why is it a "Continental Divide"? While I was there some guys strapped into their skis and disappeared down towards the interstate. Wow. Good thing it's open. Maybe I'll take it tomorrow instead of coming all the way back to Silverthorne. 2
saltyant Posted May 13, 2018 Report Posted May 13, 2018 Nice pics. Looks like skiing is still going on out there. The continental divide separates the flow of water between the Atlantic and Pacific.

eaf Posted May 13, 2018 Author Report Posted May 13, 2018 Aliens came and kidnapped all people around leaving goods in the windows, unfinished games, scattered chairs. The food is a problem, btw ;). Spotted a chain of curious signs... Sure, they lead into nowhere too. The aliens have taken all the snow too. 1

Shadows Posted May 13, 2018 Report Posted May 13, 2018 New moon is legit. Lots of free food while i worked rentals.

Plenty of enticing menus in other dead windows too. I'll have to go with what I snatched from the nearby "grocery store". Am afraid to drive to Silverthorne. What if it's the same there too?? Feels like camping after an apocalypse.
eaf Posted May 13, 2018 Author Report Posted May 13, 2018 And it's started to rain. Hopefully not radiactive.
eaf Posted May 13, 2018 Author Report Posted May 13, 2018 The price of the Paradise is only $400K. Wow.
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted May 13, 2018 Report Posted May 13, 2018 (edited) It’s called the continental divide because rain that falls to the west of the divide flows to the pacific and rain that falls to the east of the divide flows to the Atlantic. Edited May 13, 2018 by GrilledSteezeSandwich
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted May 13, 2018 Report Posted May 13, 2018 And Loveland pass is the way to go if driving from ABasin to Denver. Do you fly home tomorrow or Monday?

Silverthorne is fine all the time. People live there year round.
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted May 13, 2018 Report Posted May 13, 2018 $400K is a hell of a lot cheaper than slopeside lodging at Aspen or Jackson hole

eaf Posted May 13, 2018 Author Report Posted May 13, 2018 Another beautiful and sunny day. It's all groomed up again, having trouble picking the best run to take. And it seems like today is the last day for the back slopes. 2
RidgeRacer Posted May 13, 2018 Report Posted May 13, 2018 Nice pics. Looks like skiing is still going on out there. The continental divide separates the flow of water between the Atlantic and Pacific. Salty if you're in Hazleton you're really close to the Chesapeake bay water shed.
eaf Posted May 13, 2018 Author Report Posted May 13, 2018 Loads of chipmunks running around on the snow under the lifts. Occasionally a hawk shows up but I'm yet to see it attempting to grab those chipmunks.
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted May 13, 2018 Report Posted May 13, 2018 Have fun. Yeah last day for the Pali lift and Montezuma bowl.
