12/31….Quiet and variable

Hey All,

 

I’m back from another morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 720am and it was 29 degrees under partly sunny skies.  In the house were Atomic Jeff, NMSki, PARidge, JFDan, Mixilplix, NMSki, DirtWolf, Indiggio and a handful of others.  

 

Second civilian OG six pack as my gate wasn’t working right   First run I skied challenge which was firm and semi smooth, not that good but better than yesterday   Paradise next which was nicely groomed but I could tell the sugar would be emerging almost immediately.  Sidewinder like challenge was pretty bad but better than yesterday  Main Street was pretty nice and I still haven’t skied switchback yet this season  

 

We took the quad up to coming soon which wasn’t that good  not that smooth and a little slick   I repeated paradise and challenge and Main Street and ended with a full Burma run to Central Park   Fun parking lot and nice temperatures

Sometimes it's more than conditions that make a great day. Thats the beauty of skiing. That was today.

Wasn't horrible, wasn't spectacular.   Just another day at Blue. 

Coming Soon ditch softened up and skied like a quarter pipe with soft snow that made for a good time.

Short park sesh before work today.  OMG was it good, pure fast spring conditions 🥰🥰🥰

Oh I enjoy everyday even when I have holes in my socks and my feet don’t work but I try to be real objective about conditions.  So far this ski season knock on wood..my worst fall was out of the shower and I brought the shower curtain down with me and sadly there wasn’t another person involved.  
 

Great snow on the in run to Coming soon aka Freefall aka barbs bush.

❤️ took a little break from the holiday crowds after getting back from VT.  Going to Copper for my first time out West first week of February 😳.  I gotta stop by and say hi to you guys sometimes soon when I manage to get out early.

Awesome and Copper is doing well so far this season and will be wide open for your visit…

I thought conditions today were a great improvement over last week. ROTD either Razors or TCS. Did Challenge once, that was enough. Total 19 runs, not too shabby.

Conditions have been some days and can be so bad that today wasn’t even that bad plus it was comfortable temperatures so you weren’t being blasted by the snowmaking cannons which I don’t mind except when I do mind lol.

Happy New Year everyone! We never do anything on NYE. Plus it’s r@ining here now. I’m planning on skiing again tomorrow

I heard thunder last night, too. Weather looking cold next week and maybe ❄️

Yep I heard it along with some pretty heavy rain. Told myself that I was sleeping in today.

I just finished my session…razors and sidewinder are nice and nobody is here.
