3/7/26…better than expected.

Hey All,

 

I’m back from another fun morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. Everybody was in the house except Toast, AngryHugo, Zonked, Schifdawg, Salty and Johnny law.  It was in the upper 30s under overcast skies with Pea soup fog on the top 2/3 of the hill.  
 

Second civilian OG six pack and I began on Paradise which was way better than expected, it was soft cord.  I repeated Paradise then skied Sidewinder which was real nice soft cord and the root rollers are smaller.  I then skied Switchback which had nice soft cord on the right side.  Razors edge was open initially and I didn’t get on it but then closed for race training. 
 

I repeated switchback and sidewinder then checked out Coming soon which is experts only.  It had been groomers and the far right side was super smooth…the far right side is all the far east and reminded me of the Far East Movement because I was feeling fly like a G6 and ended up skied coming soon four times in a row milking the last of the corny cord.  
 

Fun mellow and a bit chilly parking lot and in the fog on the drive home I hit that huge pothole by the Appalachian trail super hard and stopped at Philly pretzel factory for carbs.

Yeah...foggy, damp day but good soft snow.  I mostly hit switchback and coming soon, both were good

Great snow but It was frustrating dealing with foggy glasses and mist on my goggles. I watched a group ski the bumps but just couldn’t see. I took a break and got my bump skis and clear goggle lens . Much better so I did the chute and lower Barney's  . The fog got worse around 10:30 so I bagged it.

I swore off skiing in fog and mist for the rest of my life. I abhor constant goggle wiping. And my Patagoochie jacket gets soggy. I refuse to ski in a black garbage bag.

Had plans this am...sounds like it was decent. Looking forward to some spring skiing the next few days though!

Normally I’m with you but I’ll be away the next two weekends and Monday/Tuesday mornings are out.
 

Yesterday I did four runs and bailed, there was more drizzle but the visibility was better. 
 

I’m not sure how much damage will be done. I don’t want to miss closing day .
