  1. Well... I am just sitting here in the big apple trying to reintegrate back reality of work after this weekend. The stars aligned that I could sneak away last minute for the weekend and with a favorable snow forecast I was giddy and excited to get out there. My flight to Jackson was the last scheduled flight to land on Friday night. After some delays leaving EWR and increasing snow in JH, I was busy with a lot of flight tracking, weather checks and sweaty palms the whole flight just hoping I'd get in and not diverted. Luckly there was enough of a break in the action, and we squeaked in there using every inch of the runway. Saturday was a good day of skiing as other have said, but Sunday was even better. That first run down the Hobacks on Sunday was a run that will be seared in my mind for life. Seriously can say that it was one of the best runs ever for me. I had packed enough stuff to be stuck there for a few more days and was not so secretly hoping that I wouldn't have been able to get out yesterday. Oh well. Overall, it was most excellent way to spend a weekend. JADIP.

  2. The Tram opened slightly earlier than the gondola and a few of the very lower lifts were running. Saturday and Sundays powder days were on time starts even with avy bombing but today was a once or twice a year occurrence such a delayed start due the the copious amounts of moisture in the last load of snow. Normally a delayed start like this means a boner doner pow day but it wasn’t powder today just new snow. I’m sure I’ll get a lot of sympathy from all y’all. It’s very rare for JH to have a day they completely shutdown. That happened once last season as avy conditions were way too dangerous and also back in 2009 the whole mountain shut down around 10am because winds were so strong. Years later strong winds over 140mph knocked out power to the entire Teton village and the resort was shut down for four days. Thats a real stoke stomper. Also hearing patrol on radio yesterday,”42 year old male right side of Grand knee pop” big yikes. Fantastic supper at Orsetto I had cheese garlic bread and steak Diane. Atomic Jeff caught me walking to the Loaf and Jug..I swear I can’t pick my nose and eat a booger without him noticing

  3. Started off with pretty firm slopes, but softened up quickly. Quad and Challenge lift going. Razors closed at 9:30 for a clinic. Switch and Main stayed pretty quiet and in good shape although Switch could use some love from the snow makers; Big brown spot near the bottom. Wind was starting to pick up. Lazy, NM/DW, Freefall and Sidewinder in good shape.

  4. Warmest it's been. Conditions on the MS side felt like that first spring day. No worries about grip,it was always for you..Challange had some small cookies on it before the booster. They had Razor closed. Things on that side felt much firmer. Crowd was low but it did get warm enough for some child size servings of mash taters to show up late morning.. Rode 9-12 with some friends I had not seen in a few. Talked to JLaw for a bit. Super fun morning at Blue.

  5. February 4th day 7 of 7 Hey All, I’m back from another fun day at Jackson hole ski resort. The final ski day of my 21st ski trip here. It was the warmest ski day here in about 150 total ski days. It was in the mid 40s in town, lower 40s at the base and low to mid 30s up high under overcast sky’s. There was some avalanche bombing with a 6 minute delayed start. First run amphitheater to thunder chair was pretty nice soft groomed snow. Grand had similar snow and up sublette which was very windy at the top to Bivoac which had great well formed hero snow bumps. We skied that three times then went down to thunder and skied the Thunder bumps which were similar conditions to Bivoac, a little longer and bumps not as well formed. Back up thunder I skied Grand again, then skied it a second time and a third time when Jay and Jeff skied paintbrush then Sundance gully to the base, lunch at Four Seasons. At the four seasons, Atomic Jeff said he saw Casey Neistat a popular YouTuber with 12 million subscribers outside. I saw him here before back in 2009, before he was famous, he was staying at elk country then and was on my bus and recorded an episode of the Neistat brothers for HBO while here, I happen to have a few appearances on the episode from the bus and the liftline for the. So I went outside and talked to him for a minute. All in all today was better than expected and this trip aside from yesterdays delayed start and my goggle foggy issues two days ago was one of the better trips here. I’m glad JFDan and Dirtwolf got to experience the Hobacks in its untracked glory and Nazareth Jay got a good laugh at my ski jacket which smells like a combination of cheese and dookie from all my sweating and jacket being soaked all day. Heres some pictures. The last picture is from 16 years ago from the HBO episode when I was on the bus.

  7. February 3rd 2025 Day 6 of 7 Hey All, I’m back from another fun day at Jackson hole. The snow report indicated 15” new in the last 24 hours but only 6” overnight. Overnight it was in the 30s and rainy in town and a massive amount of snow melted and I didn’t even go to the bagel place much to atomic Jeff’s dismay cause I didn’t want my shoes to get all wet. We arrived at the hill at 810am and got into the singles line and waited and waited and waited some more and right before 11am the gondola finally opened. First run to Thunder via Amphitheater was untracked and slightly tracked thick crud..a couple inches of it. Up thunder and grand was a little better..lots of untracked but I haven’t skied this kind of sierra cement much so was trying to stay in control. Sublette was closed due to high winds and we went back to Thunder which had a massive liftline so took marmet to the woods we skied the other day. Untracked of course but a lot more effort to make short turns through tight spaces. Up Marmet again to a similar run and then I skied lower tram line to the base and that was it. The longest short ski day ever..Me and atomic Jeff went to the mangy and Dan and Nazareth Jay did another couple runs. I like powder, nice spring snow and groomed..bumps as well but not a huge fan of sierra cement…some like Johnny law will say you can really slut it up in that but not like in pow pow. So I’ll say it was a new snow day not a powder day like the previous two. I still have an afterglow from yesterday’s Hobacks. So im actually hoping it doesn’t snow overnight or just a little bit so it’s not such a shit show tomorrow. I’ve had plenty of sleeper pow days at Jh but this storm cycle was announced so far in advance that I even rode the lift with somebody who drove from Wisconsin for this storm. Sorry no pictures today with a delayed start I wasn’t stopping to take pictures.

  8. Everything is awesome: Nice morning, 26° arrived 8:45 ,light a bit flat but otherwise nice except for the weird wind phenomenon. Half way up the quad there’s a strong wind gradient 10-15 ish from lower down calm conditions. It ended before the summit which was pretty calm. It remained the hour plus that I was there. I figured the ditch would be nice and ungroomed, and it was the rest of the trail was very nice as well. Main St chair was Fubar and the challenge six was not running either. It was a maintenance issue up top and there was a Patrol are in an employee stuck on the lift for an hour and a half. Of course it was spinning and they were loading it at 10:30 when I left . Most of the morning there was a little bit of a line on the quad, and it stopped quite a few times, due to some newbies. Main st , Nightmare, Chute , Glades pretty much everything was good.

  9. Day 35. Upper lifts all closed due to frigid weather, negative 16 plus wind. Skied the open lift until I got bored.

  10. Was everything out of the base delayed? 11 is a crazy late start. I don't think I would have patience to stand in line for hours and hours like that.

  11. Saturday was hilarious, I think it's fair to say it will be along time before myself, schif and Ben all slide off the platform. Bonus points to benm for the Keri strug like recovery. Sunday I thought was actually a vast improvement and not just because enjo cooked but they blow snow and it was better. Saturday you could get an edge with lots of angle but it felt to high risk whereas Sunday you could let it rip more. The 1 inch last night similarly super helped today. Also only the quad was working for awhile which actually made it super nice. Switch and main held untouched cord well after 10 and I mostly bombed the fuck out of switch. Word of caution and it's scary if I'm the voice of caution but the surface underneath still sucks, Razors in particular is still very hard underneath with somewhat unmarked jumps. One of the weekday regulars took a scary beater, twice couldn't get back up and had to get a ride. The grip is there but think about it if it goes wrong because with the glide your going to be on the ground in a hurry.

  12. Hey all, Back from another fun session at Camelback mountain, the true mountain. Today was by far the best time anybody on PASR had skiing, it was so radical. In da house were me and some Jerrys. First run down The Rocket was sick dude, caught some radical stellar courdorouy which was far out. Next lapped Cliffhanger about 10 times which is the best run in the U.S.A., even better than any hill station slope in Wyoming. I probably hit 40 or maybe even 41 KM/H on Cliffy. It was sick seeing the waterpark and fancy hotel house lodge while flying down that amazing run. Next up was Nile Mile which was soo sick that some legends in Jackson Hole are hella jell that they couldn't be there today to soak in the glorious feeling of all those rad turns. The best part was there was no annoying perder to get in my face or slow my Elon skis down. Finally I went over to The Front Four and skied The Marjorie's Delight, The Hump and The Rocket again. It was devastating that The Asp was closed because they are blowing perder on Bass Lick, which is currently 100 percent ice with some aluminum cans on top. I think Bass Lick will be open by February 32. The lines were tolerable until 11 AM and then I decided to call it a day and have a gallon of Yoo-Hoo in the parking lot. I felt bad for those poor guys in Jackson Hole stuck in a blizzard while we have nice smooth groomed trails here in the Poconos. Hopefully they get back soon and ski Marjorie's Delight. JADIP

  13. What day do you leave for Stowe? I’ll check their forecast along with Jackson hole and Arizona snow bowl.

  14. Geeze Louise, I would have skied some groomed green runs instead of standing there for 3 hours. That's hardcore. I'm proud of you all. Maybe someday I'll split a Captains Wafer with everyone who stood in line for hours
