  1. I only use it in case of emergencies when I'm alone in the wilderness of McAdoo or on my bike in bumfuck nowhere.
  2. Correct but you cant make calls on it. It shows my location to family every 10 minutes and can text thru da satellites. I brought it with me while skiing in Utah since it's very small and fits easily in my pocket
  3. Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully on new Elon Skis both days
  4. Wrong.
  5. I bought the Garmin inReach mini and am very happy with it. The battery lasts forever and it gets coverage everywhere. I do almost everything alone and it's less worrying to have one. It was a bit unnerving seeing the missing hiker posters in 2019 when I hiked 13 miles alone in Glacier National Park. A minor injury can easily turn fatal if you're far from civilization with no cell service. And unless you're doing hardcore camping or backcountry, all you need is the cheapest plan.
  6. I was more annoyed that while I was on hold, twice someone asked "Thank you for calling True Blue, how may I help you?" Never had that happen before while being on hold, and I kept having to explain the situation 😒
  7. So the True Blue website's inventory is fake news. They list the Tyrolia Attack 13 but I called and it's not actually in stock 🤷🏻‍♂️ Looks like I'm getting the Marker Squire 11 instead.
  8. Thanks. The full run took me 4 minutes, so you could probably do it in 3.5 minutes.
  9. Sorry, no commentary on this one. Just me skiing in silence. Correct, that was Friday morning and the first few runs were stellar.
  10. Rad video of me hitting 53 mph on a virtually empty Main St at Snowbasin last Friday on muh Elan Ripstick 96's
  11. Epic Pass is more appealing to me as I can day trip to Jack Frost, Roundtop and Hunter for a change of scenery. Plus a lot of good New England options also. The fact that Ikon Pass doesn't have any PA options makes it less viable for me, though it does have Windham which I've been wanting to check out. I wonder what Epic means by this, or if it's just marketing hype??
  12. Good stuff. Are you planning on buying an Epic Pass? The link below has it priced at $999, but not sure if that's for last year or next year. I've spent over $999 in lift tickets this year so I might as well buy one for Hunter, Stowe and wherever out west (Vail / Breckenridge) 🤠 https://www.zrankings.com/ski-resorts/season-passes
  13. The thread subject does say 3/10. What do you mean?
  14. Thanks. Also will try trading my old Elan Early Rise Rockers in, I read somewhere they give credit for old skis maybe?
  15. I'm liking the no lines part a lot. Hoping for short waits this weekend - dont expect no lines just yet on Saturdays and Sundays
  16. Thanks. I dont see the benefit of paying extra for bindings, unless they're lighter I guess? As long as the binding does its job of not releasing randomly and releasing when it's supposed to, thereby ensuring I dont break a femur or tibia, I'll be happy with it
  17. I have no idea what bindings to get. The only 2 on True Blue's website are: - Tyrolia Attack2 13 GW '21 - $199 - Tyrolia AM 12 GW '21 - $159 I assume they have other bindings available or are these good??
  18. 307 mm. Sure, you can try them if they fit. I trust you wont take them in the woods or jump any couloirs.
  19. This is bananas. I got free shipping since it was between $20 to $50 extra for expedited shipping of various time frames. Woulda been a complete waste of Johnny Cash. If they actually come by Friday I'll be ripping down Challenge on them by Sunday. Maybe I'll even be first in line even after picking them up from True Blue on Sunday morning
  20. They can put up color coded diagrams in the line like PC does showing various arrangements of different parties which can be put on the lift and still have enough distance to space. This way maybe thered be less instances of a single riding the 6 pack with 100 people waiting in line
  21. If the Epic Pass goes on sale soon and allows spring skiing at Hunter, I'm there
  22. Park City was very enjoyable on a Sunday. I got a shit ton of runs in which was amazing for a weekend The lines seemed to move so much faster than at Blue. Of course there are many lifts to choose from, but I didnt even mind waiting in some lifts with lines. PC and other resorts actually put a great effort into loading the lifts as much as possible while still ensuring social distancing. Maybe just maybe Blue will start considering expanding like those top secret plans that have been spread around the Interwebz? Besides loading lifts more efficiently, or raising prices, that's the only other way to alleviate the 15 minute waits
  23. Anecdotal evidence doesn’t fly with this crowd. @GrilledSteezeSandwich said so
  24. IDK... I guess either Jack Frost Dan or a large boulder 🤷‍♂️
  25. Thanks for the offer but he's saving his buddy pass for Zonked.
