3/3/19....sausage Sunday..nice weather.
saltyant replied to GrilledSteezeSandwich's topic in Blue Mountain
Excellent sausage, especially the chili dogs. Thanks Enjoralas! Snow was decent on most trails except Lower Main... fudge that run. -
Thanks Steeze, if you decide to come we'll hold your spot in line at the Stevenson Lift so you can get fresh purdur on Nile Mile.

Didn't know motels even go that cheap...Damn. I call those Hot Sheets Joints.

Just making an edumacated guess based on observations. Just like Galileo.
-
My guess is you'll opt for a pass that allows you all to ski at various mountains, since your daughters don't seem to like to ski the same place over and over every weekend.
-
They're bored with True Blue and want to ski somewhere else..

I typed that right before my haircut so I know it was less than 13 minutes. Military style crew cut, very efficient. Yes i enjoyed your sausage a lot, thanks for sharing! That first run down Sidewinder was epic. If I get even one run like that a year in the Poconos I'm thrilled. Next run I did was Lazy which appeared to have a layer but turns out it was groomed, but it was a nice smooth carpet of cord and was almost just as good as Sidewinder.

Excellent report, 10/10!! Am I still allowed to quote it?

Indeed, great this is. Rumor has it there's a warm up coming in Mid March so this could be the last Harrah or whatever the saying is.

Weather.com says 5-8 for Windham, same total projection as Camelback. TFTI

I wish I was as decisive as you. My issue is my car probably can't make it to Blue or Camelback Monday morning, so I'd probably have to stay in a hotel. But it doesn't seem worth it to pay for a hotel by Camelback. Just for fun, I looked up the Waterpark hotel... $350 a night. So if I'm staying a hotel might as well go to Windham... I'm like 75% in favor of Windham and 25% Camelback at this second.

I'll be getting a True Blue pass next year. I wonder if Eaf will too???

I might be going. I heard Mr. Steezeman might be there also. -
Hopefully, looks like a big powder day though. No idea if that will make a difference. Never skied in New Yawk before so it will be rad. I wouldn't car camp unless I had to, especially not in winter. Fudge that!

TFTI. I'm not ready to commit just yet, let me sleep on it and if there are still rooms available tomorrow maybe I'll go to Winnum!

I really like Windham's trail map. Strongly considering pulling the trigger and booking the Vienna Inn... though I've been already burned once this year with a non-refundable hotel reservation. All hotels for these places require non-refundable deposits. But not sure I can go because of unusually warm temperatures:

Oh ok. I disagree 100% but wont threadjack with a counterargument. Looking forward to the pics. -

Congrats! You're walking on sacred ground where many legendary PASRs have been.... such as myself. -
Seriously? Will you still get a Blue pass? I got the Value Pass 2 seasons ago, since I was primarily night skiing. Still debating on Camelback or somewhere else for Monday, depending on weather.
-
Ceteris Paribus, the only places I would get a pass are Blue and Camelback due to their close proximity and high speed quads. I'm sure I'll enjoy skiing in NY, but I dont want to drive that far and pay for hotels every weekend. Plus I'm not a millenial, I'm 30 so I no longer qualify for the 18-29 year old passes.

Also the odds of getting snow without ice, sleet, hail or rain in the Poconos is about 10:1.
