  1. A 5 gallon bucket with some oil dry (kitty litter) keep in the vehicle along with a change of clothes and a roll of tp. I keep mental notes of where the rail trail parking is, road construction sites . Usually a job johnny available. Wawa , Sheetz . I’m not the most religious person but I’ve prayed the stalls open many times. I’ve yet to have a blowout but came close. My buddy has the record for the most embarrassing and most conspicuous emergency. Top of Tuckerman headwall. He started his run then stopped and for a cheering lunchrock crowd dropped a log 😳😂
  2. Must be a special lot for season pass holders. 🌈🦄
  3. So does Donny! And he kicks ass I’m thinking about buying a pair of orange gaiters lol
  4. Omg these last two posts are just funny as shit , pun intended. You guys have to look forward to the saying. “Over 50 never trust a fart “
  5. I had a crazy one 2 years ago. Wife calls me and says some power out in parts of the house? I’m like??? I come home and find a tree came down on the transformer on the pole and took out one leg , so anything 240 didn’t work and half the rest of the circuits . Luckily no damage to anything inside.
  6. I’m on the “STBY “ Sucks to be you branch. Only a handful so we go to the bottom of the list unless we get knocked out early in the storms . Although PPL does a good job of projecting service restoration time it’s a pain but I just deal with it. I’ve been out for days at a time.
  7. Forgot to mention these, Sump Jet . They work without power if you’re using city water. https://www.libertypumps.com/wp/dom/Products/SJ10-SumpJet
  8. Lots of dead Ash trees. My power comes through a mile or so of a gauntlet. Hurricane Sandy did a good job of pruning but now the Ash trees are coming down from the invasive borers. I was trying to count power line splices in the lines on the way home lol. Too many to count. Getting a bit dangerous at times too . I took down a tree yesterday that had a huge piece hanging in . It doesn’t help to have a cheap neighbor who won’t spend a dime to take down obviously threatening ones.
  9. Doing mechanical crap all day and coming home my stuff gets neglected. I didn’t service my oil boiler one year and the filter was due. When the well and boiler came on it was a little too much for the burner motor and burned out. I have a 60 gallon indirect water heater tank so I have the family shut off the boiler when showering just to be sure. The cheap led lights don’t like the sign wave on my generator. They flicker a bit which can get annoying.
  10. I’m on outage number 9 this year. My wife is lobbying for an automatic generator but I don’t have propane. The last outage she was in the shower with hair filled with shampoo. Fortunately my well tank is a little larger so she had time to rinse. Getting out in the dark was a challenge lol. I have a 5kw generator with a transfer switch and a 30amp cord I run outside after dragging the generator out. Take the plug out and stuff some insulation in to keep the critters out. I’m reluctant to change to the automatic because my generator starts every time so far. I flip a couple switches and I can run my oil boiler, well pump fridge and some lights. The transfer panel is no frills and pretty basic.
  11. Yeah or wash away tomorrow night. Encouraging forecast though!
  12. This week isn’t looking good. After Sunday looks more favorable consistent night temps.
  13. Second the motion. Bought new goggles this year thinking they were fine but couldn’t lift them without my glasses getting hung up. A little trimming of the foam along the sides should work but I’m not 100% sure. I’ll bring my old ones just in case but it’s better to find glitches sooner rather than later.
  14. He moved on to harder stuff. Nestles Quick?
  15. 60’s next week.☹️ Big Snows in the high 20’s
  16. You might want to check the expiration date on those Yoo Hoos
  17. Not a rider but that looks like tomahawk city 😳
  18. Elk passes this year are buy one get one free. I didn’t read the voucher till a friend pointed it out to me. ☹️ The movie was ok , I thought they best part was the Johnny Mosely / Donny Pelletier bit.
  19. Saturday, I haven’t been a fan of the style of fast changing scenes. Most of them don’t last more than 3 seconds. The last one I went to was a bit better. I like the family and smaller ski towns focus rather than the big dollar heli ski oriented big mountain vistas. They have their place but there’s been too much focus and product placement. Warren rocked with great humor , there needs to be more of this older style. I’m thinking this year will be an edit of old material so I’m hopeful. Either way I go for the stoke of seeing some friends who suffer from the same ski addiction. Free stuff is icing.
