  2. no freshies in the woods? my roommate had a chance to go up today and found them. weak mlk weekend, must of been dead. uvm isn't back yet and champlain didn't have off today (fuckers).
  3. skied stowe saturday and sunday. freshies all day. some spots were dick deep no joke in the woods. forgot to take my phone so no pics this time, but my roommate went up today while I was in class and still found some pow in the woods: long story short get up here. no snow out west but there is most definitely snow up here with more to come this week. probably hitting the bush tomorrow and wednesday, pics for sure this time.
  4. its definitely mad easy to transfer lift ticket cards. when I went up to blue I bought one with cash and they didn't get any info from me at all. it says in red letters that it's non-transferrable though, but there is absolutely no way of them telling someone transferred the ticket
  5. worddd sugarbush is opening their big park tomorrow. ill post up some pics from there when I get back.
  6. temps all this week are coooolldd. snow might be comin in thursday-saturday. lows of like -8 and shit this weekend. hopefully we get a dump. regardless north slope will be open this week so shits gonna get prime soon.
  7. went up to stowe for a lazy late am session. 2nd day on snow, very out of shape. skied like shit but still had fun. rolled up around 11, took a few 5th ave laps then headed over to lap the gondy. they were pumping snow on north slope so the triple chair was getting blasted from the guns. runs from the top of the gondy weren't too bad. mostly lapped perry. as you got towards the base the snow turned to shit wind blown ice. snow up top was prime ripable hero snow for sure. snow was lacking in some parts but up top was covered. some spots I ducked off of perry for safety reasons was knee deep in terms of snow depth. all the stuff that was skiable was way tracked out obviously, but there is snow...it was even snowing most of the day. pretty flat light all day so pics aren't too great.
  8. do you only take blurry pictures of snowguns?
  9. here comes the know-it-all snowmaking battle 1, 2, 3 GO

  14. things probably wont change right now but I can see both places getting pretty crazy within the next few years. those guys have the power to do things nobody else can in this area.
  15. it's because alyeska and baker don't support into ski magazine's circlejerk selection of mountains. it's not a real magazine, it's an advertising catalog disguised as a magazine. every magazine I got from them had the same resorts in each issue.

    snow

im no expert but it looks like they'll have temps to possibly blow saturday and sunday night. after that they'll be looking at a rough thaw, mid 40s to low 50s all next week. so we might get a refresher to prepare for the crap week ahead of us....absolutely no new terrain. in the 10 day past sunday night it's looking like there will be no temps to make snow at all next week. it's almost a miracle they were able to open as it is.
  17. nobody ever likes paying for lift tickets, I know I don't. I've had a season pass to somewhere since 2005. nothing beats saving up, shelling out all your cash, then having piece of mind knowing that you can ski as many days as possible for the rest of the season. it's not that we're cheap it's that paying to get on the hill once absolutely sucks. then that $40 lift ticket then turns into a $70 day, you've always got gas, for some people tolls, and then since you're probably gonna make the most of the lift ticket you'll wind up having to spend money on food. most are expenses we usually deal with every day out, but the added cost of a lift ticket really pisses me off especially when they're really aren't discounted much from the normal price. I know it's business, and that many people would gladly pay $40 to ski but for us it hurts because many of us can't be satisfied with one day on the hill....especially if that one day is costing me at least $60.
  18. the last jf opening I was at im pretty sure they had one setup with features. I don't think there's anywhere else to appropriately setup a park....I could be wrong though, I'm pretty sure that was 08
