School closed for maybe the 2nd time since I have moved here. If I can get their lazy asses out of bed and the roads are doable we will head to Eldora.

I agree with this. I think i have the opportunity to make 2 trips out west this year, so i'm not real concerned with some early season turns on limited terrain that require alot of travel. it doesnt work out logistically for me. Individual results may vary though. My job is so flexible in the winter that i can get things done now, and take additional days when i really want to. Dan the man where is trip # going to be?

My husband drove from NJ to CO when we moved here. 30 hrs I believe but he was driving a motorhome w 2 friends. Broke it up into 3 days. Said he wanted to shoot himself driving through Kansas, super flat and boring.

The one and only time I was at Hunter was jr year of HS. Someone organized a weekend bus trip and somehow we all convinced our parents there were chaperones. My friend and I were last on the bus because we were waiting for someone to bring us beer. Two 12 packs of Coors Light (you heard me) that i had to bust open and spread throughout my full size 80's style suitcase. Ah, good times.

Pulled out a pair of hand me down ski pants for my youngest. They still had a ton of JFBB lift tickets on them from 2011. Lots of good memories in the Poconos.

Ugh had to get a whole setup for my youngest and he is no longer in junior sizes. $$$$ men's skis and boots are pricey.

Whats up with the mountain stats? Tried to add my first day but put it on 14/15 season. C'mon Jeff winter is here!

First day out at Winter Park. Forecast called for snow and 40-50mph winds but I knew after tomorrow everywhere will be busy with Thanksgiving break. Winds died down a bit, was a white out briefly. Very limited terrain open but he snow is good, few inches of fresh and zero people.

Was gonna take the kids to Loveland since they had off yesterday. However, forecast was calling for 50mph winds, no thanks. Probably get up somewhere in the next week or so.

Not worth it. Only a few trails open at Abasin and Loveland. I think Keystone just opened but same deal.

I just took my skis in to get waxed today after I saw the email. They won't be ready till Tue. Anyway I am supposed to b hiking a 14er w a group in costumes Saturday. Forecast calling for a high of 23 and snow in Breck. Should b interesting.

Loveland Set To Open This Thursday! For a second it felt like it might never come, but boy do things change quickly! With a storm system that brought us 17.5 inches of natural snow came the perfect conditions our snowmakers needed to finish up our opening day run. Loveland will open for the 2015/16 season at 9:00am on Thursday, October 29 with nearly 1,000 vertical feet of tree-to-tree, top-to-bottom coverage on Cat Walk, Mambo, and Home Run. Come celebrate the begining of the Colorado ski season with us! We will continue snowmaking operations as we look to open more terrain. Weather here has been beautiful! Not sure of temps today but in the sun, climbing rocks it was warm.

Tried rock climbing today. Pretty terrifying.

Been very warm here in CO. Definitely no snow making temps anytime soon. This weekend supposed to be gorgeous in the 70's and sunny.
