  1. Number one reason i went on to explore a season pass at a different mountain. I really like Frost, but when the off trail stuff isnt good, the place will really start to close in on you quick. At least you are honest about it. last year on the same day, they closed Telstar, solitude, Floyds, and Challenge, (which in turn meant challange glade as well). Frost is pretty small to begin with, but this was really a kick in the balls. I imagine people that purchased a day pass were up in arms, as much as i was. This was the same day weather personality Cecily Tynan got hauled off of Rivershot, since all of the East Mountain traffic was funneled into one slope on an already crowded day.
  2. Truth. JFBB has really been lacking in that area for a few years now.
  3. Race nets. Soooo, closing down half of East Mt tomorrow for the race team?
  4. C1 probably got a picture of you too. He is stealthy.
  5. Really nice conditions. Nice cord with limited cookies early on. warmer up top than at the bottom, so guns were on at lower challenge, but not the upper part. Lazy was sweet, main street was nice, but the manmade snow between mainstreet chair and homestretch made for slow going getting to The Big Pocono Couch. Around 11 or so they opened up the little slope in between main street chair and The Big Pocono Couch. That probably adds 2 trails to the trail count since most trails at Blue have an "upper" and a "lower". They ran the groomers up Paradise i think to go over to Widow, widowmaker, or raceway or what ever its called. I passed the groomers right at the top on my way down paridise, so it was pure pocono pleasure on the way down. Quite a nice mid-morning treat. i took a spin down Burma road just for funsies, that was pretty nice. The quad was running too. Razors got pushed out. that should be good to go tomorrow just in time for it to be closed for the race team.
  6. almost like a train. everybody likes trains.
  7. With all the amenities they have listed, the HOA fee should be an interesting one. Gonna need an interconnect for the waterpark.
  8. Yes. Except for when i get on that road. Never fails, 5 minutes before i get on it, theres a back up. Same with 76 from valley forge to the city.
  9. I looked it up on google maps a while ago. I think 22/145 was shorter by just a little bit. I was kind of suprised. Anytime 22 might be the slightest bit messed up, i would really consider going to 209.
  10. You are probably right, but i was being selfish.
  11. I got there for lineup, and it was pretty minimal. First couple runs were right back on the lift. The fluffer attachment didnt work quite like it was advertised. Honestly, the slopes could have been filled with rocks, stumps and ice and i wouldnt have minded. Felt really good to be back on the snow. Random pics. Cookie city. Lazy was fun.
  12. Lazy is nice. Main street is cookie city. Upper part is really interesting. Suns out. Should soften up some. Guns still going.
  13. Plenty of cookies on main street for everybody.
  14. Fyi coupons to be had at lukeoil. I picked a few up, but i wont need them since i am going to win the powerball.
  15. Planning on Thurs and Fri am. Weather/stoke level/trails/lifts will determine weekend plans.
  16. I am impressed with the speed at which they are opening trails at JF this year. I know there is some new snowmaking equipment this year, but in years past it has been weeks after they start blowing that they get around to East Mountain.
  17. No. the only real limitation is when there becomes the possibility of brown outs due to really high electrical demand. then they shut down. they might even be compensated for shutting down under these conditions as well. This happened like 2 years ago. The "discount" would make you sick, its considerable.
  18. Thursday is so close to Friday, and Friday is so close to the weekend, i might as well just take off both days. makes perfect sense to me.
  19. Not yet. But they did turn the guns back on the upper half of homestretch. i wonder if Bear is blowing with their "mr chilly" mountain water cooler. They have. Its like they want to compete with JFBB for worst social media ever, which was 2015. JFBB social media has been way better since weedeater has been around. Just giving a little credit where it is due.
  20. Tubing, as much as we think its for the truly talentless, brings in big bucks for every mountain. I would think jfbb will start blowing on one of them shortly. Do you think they will start blowing the tubing hill at frost, where they have the most slopes open, or boulder, where they have less slopes open, and less snowmaking?
  21. I love when they use the fluffer attachment. takes a little while longer to groom using it, but it really makes a difference.
