I dont see anywhere in that article that Blue Mt. was sued. The company contracted to do the work was sued. The price of Burgers will not be affected by this.

Brighton opens tomorrow. Steamboat opens this weekend. Alta is projecting Friday. Trying to have patience. Really the sucky thing is alot of the western resorts have gotten more natural snow already than we get all year.

It was like the first or second year i had my pass at JFBB, they let Floyds bump up. I suck at bumps, but theres always room to improve. that was fun, and lets face it, thats the best use of Floyds since its so damn short. But now sadly most of East Mountain is owned by the ski team.

Taos is going to do well this year in the snow department. They will probably be open for Black Friday, you know, so POC has somewhere to ride.

Whiteface is anticipating a November 27th opening. Its like really northern poconos.

its going to be a slow start the season. December will be more normal, so really that means sporadic snowmaking, not like last year where when it got cold, it stayed cold for a while......i mean blue opened with what like, main street, something else, then they opened something else around 10 am? Pretty impressive opening day. Boulder opened Freedom.

did they have gondola? high speed quad? we know you put lift service up pretty high on your scorecard. Whiteface is cool. i like whiteface. What i dont like about Whiteface, is the lack of options. like you are pretty much just going to ski whiteface. yes, gore isnt that far, but still, not as many options, as say Vermont. Utah is similar. Stay central, go where conditions are best. The whiteface theory could also apply to Steamboat. Another personal fav.

The pierogies at CBI are awesome. i highly recommend ordering 2 different kinds. you know, for variety.

So there is actually a site that rates weather sites for accuracy. http://www.forecastadvisor.com/ If only there was another site that rates sites that rate weather sites accuracy. Most weather sites follow one model, and spit out the data that particular model shows. I believe that Weather.com now uses input from a few different models, ever since they were predicting hurricane sandy would go out to sea. Whoops. Take your three favorite weather sites, when they all pretty much agree on a certain day, your percentages of that forecast happening are pretty good. Weather.com owns Weather underground, so if the forecasts look really similar, thats why.

Lol. its probably 4-5 times Blues natural snowfall. Lets remember that Okemo's target skier is the family unit. That applies to very few people on here. They dont make any claims to have the most bad-ass skiing in Vermont. Yes, every mountain has mellower terrain, Okemo has more. They do have some pretty nice trees though. So put Okemo right next to Blue, which one would you ski?

I wouldnt go that far.....i think Killington at least be able to keep their version of Freedom up and running. Even if the pattern of cold, warm, rain, cold continues, it only takes them a few hours to blow some shit on it and call it open. Remember what Jlaw said, eventually it has to get cold, and we are moving in that direction. overnight temps are looking a little better for us towards the end of the month, but it looks like we could still be fighting some higher than average daytime temps as well.
