  1. serious lulz, I walked into that one
  2. Nice dude, wall photo's are sick. What says the most about this near wasteland board is that more people commented on the goggle choice than the pictures of actual people skiing. Besides Atomic and Jordan nobody has posted shit yet they feel the deep inner need to validate their particular choice in the very important category of goggle color as if there is a "right" color. What a fucking joke.....
  3. Buddy said natural avy at the wood, all of 80 is shut down and the Gaz-ex is firing. Sounds like you guys are in for an awesome day tomorrow, find out were those 100mph winds are putting it.......
  4. There is a heli-op that runs out of of Powder Mtn, UT. Its mostly advanced meadow skipping but I can see where the confusion comes from.
  5. I have a bit of the old school style as AJ can attest to, definitely ski with my feet kind of close together but it works. Honestly though make the switch the wide platform is so so much better in the deep and if you can carve a 60 you can carve a 110. Sad I couldn't do the morning but even the night session was fun, between the push piles and mini moguls had to get the proper wiggle down. Little bit of leg burn which is new for blue, serious fun.
  6. Short skis suck long skis truck
  7. Its actually pretty easy to get to. Flights to Glaicer are daily from Minneapolis, Seattle and SLC. Plus apparently there is a train from Minneapolis, I know the train is slow but come on a train would be pretty fucking cool. Glacier National Park is nearby and I was there as a kid and remember it being the coolest NP ever. Though admittedly my list of places to get to is getting pretty damn small.
  8. Big/Fish should pay you, that mtn went from a place that I didn't care about to somewhere much higher on the list. Considering how few people even know it exists they should at least throw you a pass.
  9. WTF PASR endorses slokemo? Really ? ..........Did I not get the memo about huffing glue....
  10. The real problem is they are cheap and blow water heavy, base building type snow and then groom like idiots. My guess is they are farming persons and not snow persons but that is just a guess. What's more interesting than the cookies is the rutting and trenching, I'm not sure how they get so much wash-boarding at certain areas so quickly.
  11. what the mother fuck is a barking bear ? Regardless looks like a sweet trip and a nice mtn.
  12. Slokemo ? Mt. Slow ? How about Mt. Creek.....
  13. I know I totally failed, I wasn't prepared, I didn't expect to see such a show while walking through the top lodge. That and its PA so 90% of the time it would be some 400lb beast crammed into a size 4 tube top.
  14. Firm and fast, good snow except in high traffic areas. Kinda chilly though with the wind. To the young blonde with the killer rack and painted on yoga pants, I unlike the ticket counter bitch really enjoyed your impromptu performance. While I can't figure out why you felt it necessary to remove 90% of your clothing before getting in the car I applaud your commitment to being really fucking hot. If you should feel the need to hold amateur stripper night again I'm sure I can arrange something at my house.
  15. I've been there twice, my uncle's brother was a patroller their and my cousin has been there like a 100 times over 20 years. It used to be a state facility and now as far as I know its a 99 year lease deal. Avalanche is maybe 50 degrees, people say its 66 but its definitely not that steep. Mt. Snow has some run that they say is 62 or something similar and it is for like 3 feet the rest is in the upper 40's, Avalanche could have something like that going on. Its really what you would expect really icy, spotty coverage steep groomer. There is a tree trail called extreme that is next to avalanche that is hardly ever ride-able. I've never had the pleasure but my cousin's cousin has ridden it a bunch and said its mostly just really steep icy bumps. He did put a ski pole 4" through his leg on that trail a number of years ago so I imagine it can get pretty gnar. Denton is in the middle of nowhere so no crowds and not alot in the way of conventional ski amenities. Still a cool place to check out at least once. The trails are short and steep, but not considerably more than dodges drop at tux if you remember that.
  16. I'm going to tonight, like toast I haven't been up in awhile so I feel obligated.....expecting ice box like conditions.
  17. x2 The best tat I ever saw was upside down on this crazy chick's neck and it said something like "my name is linda" lulz Kinda foul but serious lulz
