  1. If that is how you feel - I am sorry. But please, show me one string where you offered helpful advice and I did dismissed it as bull - just one. And while you are trying to find that advice, tell me who I should believe. The CAT team coach who says Ridge is using GS turns in Slalom OR here where the concensus seems to be that SL and GS turns are the same but tighter?
  2. Steven Ridge and I along with a contingent of CB people will be at BLue on Sunday Feb 5th. Nipples knows the freeride gang and they are here on line alot, he can introduce.
  3. Unlike you, I won't stoop to a personal level like that. My comment was a generality (a stereotype)- just like your comment, (perfect example) that it is full of negativity, non communication, and elitest upper echelon, "you are not allowed in here" that I am consistently subjected to as feeling unwelcomed.

    ski sizing?

each year skis get better, I liked my Line - all mountain skis last year, I love my Volkl Karmas this year! I am thinking NASTAR next time out in them, I suspect they are faster than my atomics. BTW - I demoed the the Metrons hard.. about 8 solid runs... to turny to be a "one ski quiver" in my opinion
  5. Cool - it'll be good for nipples to know the other kids from his home mountain. The look he had when steven told him that he was going was priceless!!!
  6. Report back!!!
  7. It was by design.. Last year, resorts that selected a winner that didn't actually go never called the second place guy... I suggested that he use the Nextsnow qualifiers as training for the real deal in Killington.
  8. Hey terr, you coaching again? Create a separate post and make an announcement!
  9. So which is it.. I tend to concur with Keith and Ridge - First Keith is right SL turns are different and second, John, who is Ridges Primary coach, that Ridge hadn't heard what Keith told him before. No biggie, I am learning every week and if a kid needs to work on something specific, then you need specific training. We will get some of that in Breck I understand and I am considerate of that, unlike some brainwashed racing zealots who don't don't think you should ever question anyone and who are stuck in mediocrity..
  10. To anyone who doubts Shawnee!! DON'T!!!!! Keith, aka parkbuilder has a great park and is fully involved with the day to day stuff. Chekc them out. You will not be disappointed! It is a close runner up to BC and Blue but only because of the number of features. The quality was the best of any of the parks we have been to 2 weeks ago. The lines gave you choices and lips matched the landings. They are soooooo under the radar..
  11. It will start dumping here on the day we leave for Breck on 2/10 and our flight will get delayed.
  12. Yeah we saw Jackie!! She is a pistol, a real fireball! Look for good things from her in the future. Sorry we missed you megan, I told steven you would be there too, oh well...... I doubt we will be over there in the near future. we are booked solid with trips and comps.

Welcome back to the great warm mid east.. J4 GS races at Blue on Sunday.. Bring bells!
  14. It's a reference to a possibility that he stays in business because of some under the desk consideration??
  15. THERE ARE FREAKING DAFFODILS POPPING UP ON THE SUNNY SIDE OF A HOUSE I WAS AT TODAY!!
  16. Yeah, he can be quite a character.... I got pictures of him wearing his moms bathing suit..... Did anyone get any film of his runs?
  17. You are wrong and I am right...
  18. I know that switch 270s are the easiest to learn because you can keep your eye on the box the entire time. Skiing switch forces you to look over your shoulder which gets your spin initiated. Practice hopping 180's while skiing switch first. then progress it to the box. Same thing with a front side 270. while skiing find a little bump in the slope and spin to the 180 . from there it is one quarter turn more!! Good LUCK!!
  19. Cb next sat... Blue next sunday

    ski sizing?

I you are just starting then get those. Make sure you try something shaped a little bit longer (145 cm) so that you can compare Especially if that is a "straight ski"
  21. Oh ok.. that sort of makes sense.. Great for Ridge who can really use some focused training in SL.... BTW - don't let it be known too much that Nastar can be used for GS training at the USSA level.... shhhhhhh there are certain zealots here that degrade the Nastar program. shhhhhhhhh
  22. what? No they are not real, they are only "real" if they are olympic of world cup some where on the other side of the world.. gimme a break, any race that that has a timer on it, is a "real" race! It can prove a lot. If you race in Nastar head to head then it proves you were faster on that day. It proves a lot! Why are you guys so down on the only recreational feeder program to the more competitive racing programs? You would think that for your love of racing you would be more supportive.. I just don't get it, that is the same thing I hear from all the USSA USASA ASRA FIS -- the " i race this program and you don't, your program doesn't mean diddly squat because it isn't this and that.... Whatever
