  1. Coached trampoline!!!!
  2. Thanks parkbuilder for hosting an awsome event for the little guys. Props for putting together and maintaining a great park. Steven hopes to be back soon, he didn't want to leave. BTW - Let your marketing staff know that of all the NextSnow qualifying events we have been to (8), yours was most accurate, organized and fun when considering what the kids are "tested" on, when it comes to the finals. Mountain Creeks was the worse.

    Ski Wax

your ski shop usually has BIG bricks to sell cheap - you need to just ask. Then there is E-bay
  4. ahhh crap, the host is no longer hosting it. We will get a link up soon.
  5. Cool!! Jar3d has a great idea!! Mail it to every mountain - post it on here so we can duplicate and send it. Hey, why not even post it on here so everyone can help edit it into being the most persuasive piece possible. I mean come on.. think how persuasive it would be if a ton of people helped write it?
  6. THe Nastar courses (no groans from the audience) are perfectly suited for anyone of any ability to get the thrill of racing. They are easy and fun to do. The best part about them is that your results are tracked and you can see progress when you improve. It is easy to improve with in Nastar if you have never raced before. The park is also easy - just start small.
  7. Whatever you do, don't stop at the bevel!! work on the stance, would ya!
  8. Sort of... The message says to double check the date. I moved it back another week to next Thursday, which is where I think it is - but I am not 100% about it.
  9. Here is a recent film clip - doesn't show that much of the parks features. but at least it does give you some idea. http://www.roundtopriders.com/video/grillz.mp4
  10. Tough call, coaching at CB certainly doesn't hurt - He has shaved a few points off his Nastar Handicap, but I would have expected that as he grows, with or without the CB coaching - we won't really know until he has more varied Nastar races to guage an average by. He was in the high teens last year and now he appears to be in his mid teens. I am reluctantly concurring with him that his skis were holding him back. I got my fingers crossed for him at the Blue GS, that will be the real guage. Slalom is too new for him, so it will be interesting to see how he does at ELK this upcoming weekend. Thats where the CB coaching will really show. I can't teach him anything about slalom, I know nothing. Skidude is skiing well, don't anyone be fooled by that night at Nastar. If anything, know that ski types play a huge factor in your results.
  11. I might also get in on this one before the season is over! Need to make the schedules work. I can't do Blue midweek..
  12. That seems strange... Thanks for the heads up!! No biggy I would have just signed him as 14 years old That is a good deal.. Do it on your last run in the finals as a big oooops. "I over rotated and got too far back.. I didn't mean for that to happen" That was the first one that I ever did...... etc etc..
  13. naaaa.... You should have seen the skis that Dude was on. He didn't come with the gear to score his best time. Ridge on the other hand, got to run his new 158cm >r17 FISCHERS for the first time on a gated course. He is officially off his training wheels! He told me he can't wait for the 2/5 Blue mountain GS! Hey Ski - you bring up a great point. I saw chat about Cap Times. It is the best time when the course is run straight down hill without any turns. (theoretical) The next time at Bear, I'll see if they will let one of us or the pacesetter set a Cap time. I am betting that 16 seconds can be broke... just to keep that whole PAR time in perspective. I think blue should do the same - The blue par times look suspect. BTW - The PASR NASTAR team moved up into the top 10% of 1000 racing teams with skidude and Nipples scores. IF you haven't raced yet this year, get out there! Good Fun!
  14. Such a huge strong team this year. Should be great stuff! I agree about Lyndsey, there was a nice article a few issues ago in Ski Racing breaking down to details what here year of prep has been like. Let Ligety and shlopy carry the torch for the slalom, although some 1, 2, 3's would be so great to see!
  15. Compared to last year? The newschoolers from RT have been making trips to your mountain or they were a couple of weeks ago. We were there 3 weeks ago and it was good, not great. NO jumps. Message Joe G from here, I know he checks in frequently.
  16. Hi Boblikescats! Welcome to PASR but.... I for one, thought you liked sex with kittens
  17. We will be up for the showdown events on thursday. Tonight was cancelled.
  18. USASA comps at bear for us.. Ridge will be at ELK for a J4 slalom
  19. Agreed, you have to be serious about it or want to get serious. It is the closest equivelent with a point system that caters to freestylers on a national level to the USSA which is primarily ski racing. USASA is snowboarding primarily.
  20. Last years was in the first week of march, do they have enough snow to build anything?
  21. I have been to Belleayre 4 times. Every time was a positive experience. Lots of varied terrain to choose from and some of the friendliest staff I have met. Some info about Platekill from www.nelsap.com Ski Plattekill is a terrific medium size ski area in Roxbury, NY. It skis much larger than its 1000-1100' vertical would suggest. There's something for everyone at this mountain - from wide open steeps, to narrow chutes, to easy meandering beginner trails. Its uncrowded, affordable, and friendly - what else could you want? Plattekill is open Fri-Sun, all of vacation weeks, and whenever 12" or more of snow falls on weekdays. This helps to preserve the natural snow trails that would be skied off otherwise. Today, the mountain has greatly expanded, and is now on two peaks. The left peak (facing north) has a new (used from Belleayre) Halldouble chair and the now disused T-bar. The terrain is mostly natural skiing, with limited snowmaking but decent grooming. There are limitless possibilities on the north face. Overlook is a narrow beginner trail, about 1.5 miles long. Cat Track, Twist, Ridge Run, the Cliffs, and Horseshoe are all narrow squiggles from the summit. They cut back and forth the fairly steep mountain. Northface, Giant Slalom, Plunge, and Freefall are all steep, down the fall line awesome slopes.
  22. Please define "the three main supporting details" What does she mean? 3 reasons on why there should be park passes? If that is the case. then 1. Safety - Education of the sport 2. To provide for a positive experience - The return ticket 3. To help better promote a growing sport - Park passes are a new idea. That is acutally a great question. Name 3 reasons why there should be park passes? To keep noobs outa the park is not one of them
  23. How close are you to Camelback? I might be sending Steven with a friend/guardian, I am taking Ridge to Elk.
  24. Momentum is good. They all are good. There are elements to be wary of as with anywhere.
  25. Thats a good point and worth repeating.
