  1. haha.. he told me he had seven entries.
  2. one thing I have learned is that you need to be so much OBVIOUSLY better to win a judged comp. steven was 450 ing a box early season but never landed it 3 times - he didn't place, if he had just 270'd on and off he would have took it. SO some comps are judged fairly (RT) I did get a great message from one of the judges who took the time to message me with props for him trying.. I think that message meant more to him than the winning. Just a thought. Have fun out there guys!
  3. Uh -- is racing the best compared to what?
  4. They had a DVD for $10 last year. It's not marketed cause of the music copywrite stuff. It is worth it for $10 steven watch it a 100 times over the summer. Good stuff.
  5. I noticed red streaks on the bottoms of stevens skis last night.. Gurp you might mention to Huff that of all the places we have been to, I have yet to see paint stuck the bottom of his skis.. No biggie, but thought worthy of mentioning.
  6. Chance was consistent and looked great. I believe his scores should move him to first in his world cups point score. I believe Chance made it through the Derbies last year and onto the next level, so watch for some continued great races from him, post season!! Chance has 2 older brothers? Does anyone know? Ridge placed 20th. I heard a cb coach later tell him that he needs to make slalom turns not GS turns. Ridge said no one ever told him that . On sunday the Cat team trained Slalom. Question: While I think it is great that they trained slalom yesterday, (for Ridges sake) why wouldn't the J4's work on GS in preparation for the GS race at BLue next weekend.
  7. No worries!!! Northwest out of Newark New Jersey to Vancouver!! Last year there were at least 30 kids+ on the same non-stop flight!! I haven't booked flights yet. Ridge will likely be on the same glacier this year with the Blue ski team.

    Skiers Edge

what do I do? I ski a lot!! weekends and some weeknights at BC. 4 weeks of skiing trips this year.
  9. I think those guys all finished in the top 3. Nipples scored silver in his division 12-15yr olds.

    Skiers Edge

I almost got one over the summer - best time to buy!! Skidude and Skimom have one, however I don't know if they use it regularly. Excercise to ski not visa-versa, you are on the right track! Leg extensions, high reps, low weight really helps the most with quad burn.

    Bode's R&R

I still think that he knows exactly what he is saying and doing. Everyone is talking about BODE!! The sport needs characters like him to get the interest up! Props for being controversial and outspoken!!
  12. I shopped hard last year for 6 months. I feel strongly that COC is the best "quality" camp. I have nver heard a negative from anyone about it except it is the most expensive. I have heard negatives from parents about some of the others. I think all the camps serve to motivate you to more progression simply from the "atmosphere". Steven came home with tons of autographs from the various pros and tons of tips. He met other kids equally obsessed with the snow. Dollar for Dollar it offers a great value. Steven and his brother Ridge have been a ton of exotic places but they only talk about summer camp now. Steven should be at BB on Sunday if he stays in one piece tomorrow at BC. He can tell you tons of stuff about COC.
  13. Tear it up!!!
  14. It is expensive... I won't hold back any punches on that. Take a hard look at what all it includes.. http://www.campofchampions.com/parkcoachin...asp?vs=momentum Here is the link to the pricing page. http://www.campofchampions.com/datesprices/
  15. Look for PASR stickers!
  16. I'll be organinzing a group this year to Whistler B.C. - Steven and Ridge along with dozens of friends will be there about the same time. The Blue Mountain Race team will also be there on the glacier about the same time as B & C sessions and accepts limited racers from other teams. Here is a current news letter from COC. Sounds like it is going to be Epic!! Camp of Champions News - January
  17. Try it, It's good fun, it makes you think on how you can get faster. Watching your results on Nastar is a huge bonus. It is quite a challenge.
  18. WOOT!! Does that mean more skiers are entering? Care to name names?
  19. GO Girl GO!! Last year had a fair number of Chicks.. Be careful at the rollers. IF they set it up similar to last year, you need either mad speed and skills to clear all of them or speed check and suck them up and pump off the back side. The rollers took a lot of the racers out.
  20. Everyone looks to be showing improvement so far - the PASR NASTAR team moved another 10 spots up with the races last night at Blue. Nastar takes the top 15 members on the team and averages a score. Get out there and race!! http://www.nastar.com/index.jsp?pagename=t...b&teamname=PASR
  21. Yeah - you are doing a lot better, of course you were on race skis and not your twins. Try and get your legs farther apart, you looked good, way out over the tips, you just need to widen the stance.
  22. You forgot to include that many of the participants also get free tobaggan rides.
  23. Sib - that is your home mountain I take it? Nice very nice!
  24. Good job guys.. Those scores look more realistic than what I have seen in the past at blue. I noticed some of the younger racers were turning some great times. Some of the Blue Race team?
  25. The sand man got him.. Big weekend coming up! His arm is OK nice thin clean line, no biggie it closed up the next day, thanks for asking. The fine folks at Shawnee redressed his arm after he smashed a pole to his mouth the following day.
