Mid-Atlantic Snowboard Series competitions this weekend

Don't be too sure about that! Nipples tore BC up last night and while the park was showing plenty of wear and tear, for him he rated it better than Blue. Remember the temps are significantly warmer at BC -
they must ba having problems or Nastar is not receiving them because the results aren't up yet. I don't think we can make it for tonight. Tooo tired

Cliffy 8-930am - Raceway till noonish -

Lightening closed the lifts at Bear too! We had 2 inches of snow 60 miles south when we got home!

I agree but not now, I doubt I will have much of a life as long as I am carting kids to comps. 1 1/2 more seasons and if they are still interested in competitive skiing off to an academy they go and I get my life back!!

Looks like Ron S from the Nastar Board is coming up tonight. See you guys there!! WOOOT!

Hey everyone! This does sound like a really cool event. Especially for all you vertical extreme guys!! I know that we have some monsters that as an organized group could probably take this thing. CHIME IN and comment! http://www.kintera.org/faf/home/default.asp?ievent=150821 The event is a 24 hour event taking place on March 4th and 5th.

Early morning ripper runs and gaper runs in the park the rest of the day, you can't do anything about crowds, besides you want crowds. that shows the sport is flourishing. I am with you Metz. I think that tickets should be marked, that ski patrol should educate, that they want to see them return another time and that they are on slopes beyond their ability, etc.. I saw a neat policy/practice somewhere.. Ski patrol/rangers would periodically hand out a momento at the bottom of the slope that said "I skied Challenge" to those who wrecked or pizza'd the whole thing. The idea is: Congratulations!! You did it and you are still alive! Now go take a lesson... There is nothing wrong with being in the park, learn the basic rules and stay off to the sides, always look up before moving, never stand in an area where someone is likely to come hurtling from the sky. Respect gets respect. From your post, I think you would be a great example to follow by even if you are not hitting stuff. Rental Skis should not be allowed in the park or on diamonds???

Ah yep, drop the social life and get with the program!

An impulsive personal post to bring back up in retrospect, thoughts from the end of last season to mid season this year. Like the one listed above. Sorta like adding to a blog I guess.

BOYER!!!!!!! Who said that?

Steven may want to do the USASA comp with his friend. or he may want to stay at CB and practice for the NEXT SNOW comp or...... Either way I will be at ELK with Ridge. I am guessing, but I think Montage will be third on his list. I'll know more tonight.

My Line Darksides are 165 mounted for all mountain skiing - soft - small tail tip (not for landing switch) I also have the next generation of the Darksides, the yellow Ti 7.3 exact same cut and 165cm, brand new, never mounted. More of an all-mountain ski, stiffer than the Darksides for better carving. I have nipples first set of twins Line Ghettoblasters at 133cm - They sort of have sentimental value... They are rare, top sheet construction so any grom can beat them to death and they will hold up. I think the Junior Marker motion is on them, not positive. I have Nipples 3rd set of twins, Amada AR3 @ 140cm - beat up, but signed by Vincent Dorian from summer camp. I think Nipples' skis that we have are worth more to me sentimentally than they are in real life. I just thought you should know what we have. I guess everything has its price... However everyone wants a deal. Not sure I should have typed all this.

The dutchman group is huge! They don't allow kids so we never joined them after dumping our local Wilmington Ski Club as being a social club. Live and learn

Looks like you finally got a decent pace set that produced more realistic results to how you actually ski. Take a kid skiing!!! Props!
