How far is stowe past Lake Placid? Takes me about 6 to 6.5 hours to get to LP from the Pocs. 6 to 7 hours are usually where I'm about done. I'd like to ski there at some point.

Which means you can can't walk into a restaurant and eat. Counter service is usually sit anywhere cafeteria style...pretty cool on Disney's part IMO to allow that. Agreed that the security guard thing is stupid and just looks really bad. If you're going to be enforce it, do it during peak times when seating is limited. I get that. But if you have guards taking someone's Gatorade at 830 pm on a Tuesday night in March, that's just stupidly ridiculous.

The problem with bringing food in from outside is that people bring in those massive coolers, set them on top of a table while they ski and use them to reserve tables for the whole day. Meanwhile people coming off the hill and paying for their food are spending 20 minutes looking for a corner to sit in. I kinda agree with it although at the end of the day it really doesn't affect me so I'm not up in arms over it.

Go. Guarantee that you'll get here, ski and be glad that you did.

Best night conditions this season. Perfect spring snow. Can blast NMDW or ski bumps with looking like a shit head. Damn this is fun.

The lodge is the worst I've ever seen. So glad their doing something about that. The gondi seems like overkill there.

Loaded the car this morning and pulled over on the way home from work tonight. Was kinda stuck to the 5pm arrival. Usually though I wait it out. If hearing "yo man I triangled my way down the falls" fresh off a Utah trip isn't the most depressing thing in the world I'm not sure what is. No I'm home now though
