I'm looking at the love Park cam and I don't see much happening. When you click on the "snow report", all it says is "summer" next to each trail... Lol.

And I thought that the waffle haus was classy. A coffee in the gondola would be downright delightful.

This is what happens when I'm up at 3 hours before everyone else all hopped up on coffee. If blue was open I'd probably be en-route.

This is kind of true. I like that though. Nothing wrong with the 80s, well except the hair, and the neon, and the long / narrow skis. Then there was the whole Menudo thing. Oh and a cowboy named JR. [emoji53]

It sure is... Oh and I forgot. They'll open a week or two later than everything else and close up shop in March unless they absolutely have to stay open later to meet their 100 day guarantee. Just another Vermont similarity.

I knew that was coming. Haha Those 3 trails would be a nice for opening for them. Guess I should get the canned goods ready in the event that they open before blue.

Elk is like buying a cereal brand that claims to be like Lucky Charms. But when you open the box, there are no freaking marshmallows. If I didn't know any better I would think "ok let's try out this elk place because they say is like Vermont" then I pull up to it, look up and its a half the size, there's less snow and the first thing I see when I get in the lift are two signs. One that says "ski fast, lose pass" and the other saying "skiing in trees is not allowed". At that point I'm thinking well this is nothing like Vermont. I could have just gone to Blue or Montage. Don't get me wrong, Elk has fun terrain and a different vibe. If you haven't been, you should give it a whirl. No one hates on it for its terrain or snow. It's more so how people feel that it's something more than it really is. Basically what it really boils down to is don't promise me lucky charms, then give me special K.

I just drove past blue. Main Street is getting blasted.

Whiteface for the skiing and town. Pretty much everything actually. Gore is about an hour closer. Other than that... WF

And the problem with that is?

Never skied Bromley but Stratton over Belleayre. Gore (which is about the same distance as Stratton from points south) over both.

We were in assateague over the summer. It was pretty awesome. One minute I'm getting my body surf on, the next minute I'm running over to our blanket to save my Pringles from being eaten by a wild horse who just came strolling along the beach going through everyone's stuff like he owned the place. Pretty funny actually.

That would be amazing. Let's do this!

This came up in the stoke thread. Looks like it'll be a blue cruiser... Hopefully with no speed limit like paradise.

I wouldn't be surprised. Blue doesn't play games anymore. They firmly planted their stake last year as the beast of the PA east.

I know it's a pipe dream but maybe blue can pull something off... really don't want to go to big boulder
