  3. Thank you for you blessings beer jesus!
  4. not snowboard boots but broke a lace on my 8-10 yo mountain bike shoes, went through the same process and got the replacement in a week, easy peasy on the mtb shoes
  5. ROTD was running gunpow laps in the TCS ditch, worked up an appetite for BMDI bacon egg and pepper jack with tots on a Kaiser for the ride home On the ride up I saw a badaass camper a few cars ahead but I turned off on Grouse. It ended up in the lot across the street and had to check it out on the way out
  6. Ugh if it sucks tomorrow morning head to Hollenbecks for donuts then over the hill to Cortland Beer
  7. Drove up to Jay Friday with stops at Lawsons for lunch and Rock Art to break up the drive. As we approached Jay it started flurrying a bit. Since it was still early afternoon we checked out the band at The Bullwheel at the Stateside lodge before dinner. The wind was howling pretty good and maybe a little over an inch had fallen as we headed back down to Jay Village Inn. JVI maple glazed beef tips did not disappoint. Saturday was awesome with 6” or so of light fluff overnight. Got a few fresh tracks and lots of pow bumps and trees. Great snow all over but the best shin deep pow turns were found off jet between the race course and woods, the B netting acting like a snow fence. Lift lines were a bit tough in the morning but thinned out around lunch when the started running the tram and flyer. Sunday was a bit warmer in the mid/upper twenties. Groomers were good with a few slick spots peeking through as the day went on from the rain earlier in the week. You just had to poke around. Mrs S wanted to stick to the more mellow trees, Bonneventure and showcase were a lot of fun. Lifts were maybe a few chairs deep at worst and we probably lapped goat/green mountain boys/ bushwhacker 4-5 times as the snow was really nice. Legs were shot by around 1:30 with a quick tailgate charcuterie beak. The clouds never cleared as forecasted so we never did the planned tram ride. I took a walk to check out the the Jay town XC trails before ‘Bowl time , will bring the skinny sticks next trip. Set off Monday morning for a late morning stop at Berkshire East to break up the drive home. Gotta make that Indy pass worthwhile! Perfect timing as the bright sun, mid high 40’s and low crowds made for some soft smooth groomer cruising - country club skiing ! Reall cool area with some windy rolly polly trails and some nice pitch. Very enjoyable lunch stop to round out the trip.
  8. Tonight was pretty good, edge able with a few slick spot here and there to keep you on your toes. Spent more time shootin the shit on the way in with gahskier George, NazSkierJ, and BMRmugsy on the way in and the way out with the Mute’s and NastarGlennsSonsFriendPuffy then actual skiing, huh, imagine that…
  9. Glad Pops was able to make the trip!

  13. You should have told him according PASR it still only counts as one ski day! I have had the crows questions asked before too, I just say they’re the Chris Robinson signature model! those bumps look deliscious!

  15. But there were no hot dogs so fuck this place!
  16. Pulled into a half filled lot just before 8:15 thinking WTF as the lifts start rolling at 9!? Seconds later @JFskiDan pulled in next to me thinking the same thing. Painless issue of Indy pass and waiting for mountain host to give us the green light, a hundred or so race kids fly by us explaining all the cars in the lot. They let season pass holders start at 8:30 which is pretty cool, a few minutes before 9:00 we were off, working the north side skiers left to right. Temp was a cold 40d under overcast skies. Snow was soft Cornish cord that held up pretty well as we worked our way across. I started out tele that was pretty fun but challenging on a few of the steeper pitches, thanks for waiting Dan lol. after we hit everything down low it was rinse and repeat, I swapped out skis and we took a ride up top on the iron horse. We watched the race kids from above struggling with tough conditions. At the top we remarked about the troegs shack and the lifty said they open at 11. back down bottom the snow was holding up, just a little choppy here and there. The lift not so much as it was stopping every ride for 5 minutes or so. Worked our way across for another round, figured we were pressing our luck and headed back up top for a beer. Troegs wasn’t opened so we headed back to the trucks for a beer and some of Benm’s Reese’s chips ahoy and peaced out around noon. Fun morning with a change of scenery with better snow and less crowds than Blue #IndyRevolutiion

  18. Gonna hit Montage this morning with @JFskiDanif anyone wants to join, @toast21602???
  19. I need to at least get some uphill days at Shawnee soon. Hoping @JFskiDan can join for one midweek. TFTI, thinking of bugging out of work one (this?) Friday afternoon to do a lap or two
  20. It sure was nice seeing everything coated in white. Magic today, natural trails were pretty ski’d off but fun, migrated back to the groomed with fun little bump line forming along the edge of the race training slope
