Weather keeps looking worse each time I check. You guys better enjoy it while it lasts. I wouldn't be surprised if they close early this year. I can only image what BC must look like after the rain yesterday.

I was there probably about 13 years ago, I was really young. My moms employer had a Christmas party there and anyone who wanted to go skiing got free lift tickets. Unfortunately, I never got to go skiing because we got stuck in an accident on the turnpike and got there too late. The mountain from what I recall isn't very big. It was almost like the size of Bear Creek. Blue was definitely bigger and probably had more challenging terrain. Personally, I don't think it is worth the drive. There is better terrain in the Poconos

Sounds like my experience this morning with the PA Dept of Revenue for their own screw up! I had to call in several times because the damn automated system kept hanging up on me. Then I had to wait on hold forever with the crappy music.

The Morning Call makes me laugh. When I first posted this, the article was just posted online and usually they add more to the article as time goes on. This article they added nothing to. We got 3 short sentences that basically state: A guy went skiing at Blue Mountain. He got hurt in some way and was taken to the hospital. He died 3 days later. I honestly don't know what the point of the article was, except to give bad press to Blue Mountain.

New record one day snowfall was set for Allentown today at 31.7". From 12:30 to 3pm it was really coming down fast and hard. At one point I could barely see down the street. Too much drifting at my place to measure how much we got in Orefield but some of the drifts in the yard are crazy.

Drifting bad here. I don't even want to go to the car lot tomorrow and see the carnage.

About 10 years ago, I was standing in line for the quad at blue. Atomic Jeff spotted the PASR sticker on my helmet and came up behind me and pounded on my helmet with his pole to introduce himself. He was always easy to spot because of his bright jacket. Jeff and Doug were the only ones I ever really skied with. I usually could spot Doug pretty quick by his jacket/helmet/goggles. I quit skiing before almost everyone started going to blue. I met a few other PASR's here and there but I can't remember who any more.

This and the fact I bought a snowblower attachment for my new tractor last week makes me almost certain we won't get any snow or much at all this weekend.

Actually TP4, if you read the bible it says the Rainbow is a symbol from GOD that Blue Mountain will never close prematurely again because of a 5 minute thunderstorm.

I bought two tickets yesterday at a gas station. I specifically told Rajeev's cousin I wanted the winning ones. I'm going back today for a refund.

Everybody just relax. It was Doug's Koi guy who made a wrong turn when he heard the valley lot wasn't open.

Well there's something you don't see everyday.

They had a camera on Terrain Run and the Big Airbag before. Although I think for some reason the Terrain Run cam wasn't appearing for awhile. I could be wrong, I don't usually look at that camera.
