  1. We saw the helicopter come over yesterday and tried to get on the video, but all the shots are from too far away.
  2. I still need to get my annual waffle. Was gonna get one last weekend after I caught a whiff of the aroma, but the line was too long.
  3. I've tried listening to music when I ski, but my brain must shut off my hearing when I ski as I don't realize the music is on nor do I hear wind noise. Guess I'm just in my own little nirvana, just living in the moment without any outside distractions. I carry my phone and don't even notice it in my jacket pocket. I'm more fearful of eating shit in the bumps and landing on top of it than dropping it off the lift.
  4. Ditto! I could tell! Except for when it came time to have to leave...
  5. I heard you singing? from the lift a couple of times.
  6. Yeah, definitely later in the day with the sun. Looks like they're calling for clouds now on Sunday and not as warm.
  7. Should be some spectacular spring conditions this weekend!
  8. Barney's were fantastic, all over the place with soft tops. Didn't even bother with the troughs, since the tops were so much fun. Snow skied a bit slower with all the perder mixed in, but not enough to be a problem.
  9. Right. Getting there wouldn't have been a problem. Getting back home, well that was gonna be a different story as I don't trust PennDOT to keep Mountain Dr open and I don't feel like an extra hour detour down through Palmerton. Not to mention how little plowing our township does during a storm.
  10. Currently drooling on the keyboard while watching the webcams...
  11. Timing of the storm is crappy, since the majority of the snow is supposed to fall in afternoon, which would make drive home challenging. They're saying that it's gonna be tough for plows to keep up this afternoon due to the predicted snowfall rate.
  12. Yeah, couldn't help but hit Switchback a bunch, the snow was so good. Chute bumps finally softened from glacial to frozen and so we lapped them a bunch in the PM. Snow on the sides of Razors in the PM was definitely ROTD. With the cold North wind, the bumps had a hard time softening up. Apres beers and a bald eagle circling the parking lot were also a hit.
  13. I think it's at 1pm, so hoping that the high sun angle will soften the uphill sides a bit. Seems to never fail, that they have a cold night ahead of the comp so that the bumps are solid.
  14. They should postpone the mogul competition to tomorrow, weather looks spectacular!
