  1. Some would be quite amusing. http://semi-rad.com/2014/12/11-ways-to-make-that-chairlift-ride-awkward/
  2. Guns on at the summit at least... Doesn't look like they've groomed the valley as of yet.
  3. Longer term (after Christmas) predicted temps seem to be better, but we all know how predictions can go...
  4. Shit! Looks like temps trending upward into next week...
  5. No, not enough crowd to warrant it. There was definitely plenty of lift capacity for the crowds this past weekend. I don't think I waited more than 1 or 2 deep the entire time I was there on either the doubles or the 6-pack.
  6. Yes frequent stops will push patience to the limit. However, it's not too bad when the Burma chair is running, especially when the crowds are down at the 6-pack.
  7. Once they open the lower park, it's not nearly as bad. However, it can be a pain to get to the VIP line when it's insanely crowded. Need a hard butt and steel calves to ride the doubles for an entire day though.
  8. When it's warm, it can be a pain to get down the the 6-pack and Tut's has nothing interesting. With all that, it's about the same time to ride Main Street chair to get back to top of Barney's.
  9. Would have definitely lost the long-distance, all-day families if they hadn't done something.
  10. Barb must've been going over the numbers and they're probably down even for being open so early...
  11. Smith Optics makes goggles with changeable as well as photochromatic lenses, but they're not cheap.
  12. I think they'll bring back the trash cans. Seems they do it about mid-season.
  13. Yeah, looks like they'll close Tuesday all day.

  15. In college, Sunday night skiing was the best, cheap and freshly groomed slopes couldn't be beat!
  16. Big time snow melt here today. The lawn was snow-covered in the morning, now it's practically all gone.
  17. Prophets are great cruisers with the metal band in them, good on hardpack/ice, great in soft/powder/spring granular. They are not good in the bumps, too stiff and wide.
  18. Even with the Burma chair running, both sides saw crowds beyond the corrals. Barney's was rather chunky and with flat light most of the late morning, they weren't as much fun as last weekend. Best runs today I found were on Main Street opposite Barney's which had a lot of soft powder with a big kicker from the groomed edge. They did groom Tut's and it looked like ample amounts of snow on Shuttle, so I'm thinking they're gonna run the six-pack tomorrow.
