Wow, looks deeeep!

Nice surprise to wake up and see a new coating of snow. It is winter after all, but you wouldn't know it by the weather around here lately.

So glad I came up yesterday, knowing full well that today's conditions were going to be just as they were: horrible. However, they did make for a worthwhile excuse to take part in the sausage Sunday festivities. First run down Razor's was a yuge mistake and was by far the slowest run I've ever taken on any Blue slope due to the frozen racer berms and random moguls. I'm just glad I came out of that without falling! I'd much rather have had it like the other year where it was just a flat sheet of ice. NM/DW, Paradise and Lazy were all pretty good, with NM/DW definitely being the best of the bunch. Main Street was a sugar/cookie mess, except for the one groomer pass on skier's left that was a sheet of ice. Finally got to put a face to name, as @momskeeztoo and Krazy Kathy came over to check out the sausage Sunday feast. Nice to finally meet you @momskeeztoo! And a kudos to @enjoralas and his Dad for putting on yet another fantastic sausage Sunday. All the meat was fantastic!

Looks like a slot in the rain right now and supposedly diminishing. Should be excellent spring (bump) conditions today!

Old people!

Blue really needs to get the RFID company to fix all the broken readers and the slowness of the system. The Main street double chair can't be kept full because not enough people can get through the reader, as one of them has been broken all season.

Anything to shave off a few seconds in booting up to get to the slopes!

One of the days last week I saw a pickup truck up there and a guy working at the top of the tower.

By mid morning, temps had started to rise (unfortunately not the Vkue cloud) and the snow became hero all the way to the top of Main which allowed us to set a line of bumps from top to bottom for one killer endurance run! Of course, by 1:30 or so the sun finally came out but the temps were falling and the snow was starting to set up. Today was yet another spring skiing day in December. There were skid marks showing up all over the place. We need winter to return in earnest! Happy New Year to all!!

There have been many years that we've had roller-coaster temperature swings and the grooming wasn't this bad. Need to start a Facebook campaign to get the grooming back up to par.

There have been rollers on every trail so far this year, just not as large as Root's.
