It’s nuking on the webcams. Started as snow here in the A and immediately changed over.

This morning was raining in Jackson Wyoming and 40 degrees. Not often it’s 30 degrees warmer in JH than Allentown.

Luckily I’ve had a very profitable day at work. If I was just doing boring accounting stuff all day, then I’d feel worse, I have all that for tomorrow. We aren’t into the slow time yet either which I’m greatful for cause I have Xmas bonuses to pay next week

Nice report…I’ll be up Thursday AM…small chance tomorrow am. Blue has been open like five days and I feel like I’m slacking already.

@saltyant first tracks for camelback season passholders begins this Saturday. Remember when you went for first tracks and your pass didn’t work. That was a major league stoke stomper

Hey All, I’m back from another fun morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at like 712am and it was cloudy with a temperature in the lower 20s. In the house was everybody except Toast, Root, MBike, NMSki, Mixilplix, Schifdawg and Nancy. Second civilian quad to paradise which was almost western groomer. If yesterday was a 7 today was like 8.75 at least the first two runs. The super summit safari was running for the first time this season and a very slick chute and very cookies up midway and Lower main was in clear view. I skied chute which wasn’t that good and lower main which was worse. Lost the group cause I was slow then back to paradise for a couple laps then back up summit safari to see the carnage below. Burma was decent snow but busy as expected. Crowds weren’t bad at all, no lift lines and pockets of very busy and empty pockets on the trails. Snowmaking continues on tubing, coming soon lazy and come around also I think blowing on raceway or Widowmaker. All in all a fun morning capped off with some beer chips and tomato pie.

Hey All, I’m back from a fun opening day at Blue mountain the true mountain. I had the typical first day excitement and anxiety as I pulled into the lower lot around 825am..and it was around ten degrees out. In the house were Atomic Jeff, Johnny Law, Mute, Slim, Bethlehem ford crew except Jimmy, Charles, C1er, Mixilplix, Crazy Kathy, Airhead and many others. A few minute delayed opening on the OG six pack and I was third chairlift. The quad started running with skiers and riders a few minutes early. Essentially it’s Paradise and Burma open. I started on Paradise and the snow was pretty pleasant, edgeable and semi fast snow only minor cookies beftoe the final turn which smoothed out pretty fast. I skied that a few runs and yeah the crowds were annoying but some open sections here and there…the last pitch of paradise is pretty narrow and hard to pass people skiing side by side. Mid session ventured to Burma and was decent snow except the corners but not a run I like to ski much do to the slogging and losing speed in the corners. Barbs way is even open so at least you don’t have to schlep back to homestead. Then ended the session with several more runs on Paradise and the last run it seemed like people were clearing out a little and they were as it was almost 11am and most had their Phil like Mickelson. Snowguns blasting on midway lower main street come around and coming soon. The temperature climbed into the lower 20s and there never was much sun. All in all a fun opening day and I’m sure I’ll see most of y’all back tomorrow…JADIP

Gen X’ers and Elder millenials are basically boomers to anyone under 30 and we have a lot more in common with the Booms than Gen Alpha and the Zoomers but come this weekend, it won’t matter about your age or race cause everybody is gonna be in one place Ready to Touch the Sky and ski some manmade frozen and loose granular. cue the Eddie Money two tickets to Paradise..they named the ski run after that song..don’t get me started on Dreamweaver..or FreeFall..no song about Barbs Bush just a former First Lady SMH
