Seriously, WTF is with this Weather?

If it’s any consolation the timing is good for decent road conditions. -

It’s looking like this will mostly be a Sleet storm due to overriding warm air below 10k feet. Sleet skis really good -

Interesting invention and I googled sitting on poles and one guy was yelled at by ski resort staff for sitting on poles saying it can tear up the upholstery on the chairs another keeps under armpit on chairs and some don’t put poles between butt cheeks like mute and more under thigh I guess Nope I’ll just keep holding them in my left hand for the ride https://www.issuewire.com/hyps-are-you-really-still-sitting-on-your-ski-poles-1851922624755907 -
Not that many people live out there so it’s the same herb tourons who come from everywhere.

No never sat on my poles in my life and I don’t use cell phone when skiing. I just hold my poles in one hand while lift riding -

Sitting on poles on the lift is something I’ve never done and something I just don’t get. Nice report. I’m down in Virginia now with the family -

Hey All, I’m back from another morning at Boue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot before 720am and it was in the upper 20s under partly sunny skies. In the house was everybody except Johnny law, Nancy Schifdawg, Pops, Zonked, Root and Toast. First civilian OG six pack to a very nice Paradise. 6.9 out of 9 nice grooming and smooth. A repeat of paradise then Main Street which was not that good..small cookies. Lazy mile was similar and then over to coming soon which was real chewed up but not bad if you kept your line. Crowds were moderate, a good amount of people on the trails but no liftlines. I skied paradise a little more and ended my session on Burma which saw some thick new manmade snow overnight. When I arrived guns were blasting on Razors and razorback and switchback but were off while I was skiing. Another fun and windy parking lot and by the time I left it was getting to around 40 degrees. Everybody have a merry Christmas I’ll ski most of you on the 26th. JADIP

Hey All, I’m back from another session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at like 715am and Johnny law was already in the house. It was in the low 20s under mostly cloudy skies. In the house were Atomic Jeff, PARidge, JFDan, MBike Mike, Enjorales, Dirtwolf, Slim, Gary, Charles, Salty, Bethlehem ford guy and many others. First OG six pack to paradise which was like 8 out of 10 before the sharp turn where it was kind of cruddy. I skied paradise two more times then Main Street which was mini cookies to to bottom, lazy Mile was ok a little more like crazy mile in spots. Went back to Paradise and still decent but some more icy patches. Did crazy mile again and ended my short session on Burma. Typical day after rain and freeze some ok spots some not so good. It was pretty chilly out and crowds were on the moderate side. Only a sprinkling of Asian invasion and Jackalope Jabronies. Fun parking lot but cold until the sun came out…all in all wasn’t the best day but better than not skiing. Snowmaking continues on the Falls, Razors, skiercross, Razorback and Yeti. JADIP

If this keeps up you might have to get out the riding mower and lay down lines -
Hey All, It’s hard to believe it’s almost the third weekend of the ski season. Is anybody planning on skiing/riding Blue mountain the true mountain? Looks like moderate temperatures and fast snow will be on tap.

Hey All, I’m back from a fun quick morning session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot around 835am and it was in the upper 20s under overcast skies with light winds. In the house were Atomic Jeff, C1er and the entire Bethlehem ford crew including Jimmy and Nastar Glenn. First run on Coming soon and it was pretty good, not the Boner Doner of Sunday but I give it a 6.9 out of 11. Paradise had better snow but a little slow and lower paradise was nice. Widowmaker was decent, midway not as smooth and lower Main Street was really smooth and soft cord, upper Main Street not as good. Lazy mile was super pleasant as well. Back to Coming Soon a little scrappy on the headwall and I ended the session with easy out to vista to Burma and got an almost empty run and the temperature was warming up softening the icy corners. All the boomers were out today and a lot of college kids. Looked more like Friday crowds and minor liftlines. Guns continue to blast in tubing, razors, Razorback and come around razors has enough snow down to be half width On the way back to work I stopped at Chic Fil A and while waiting a few minutes for my nuggets the drive thru guy was playing 20 questions with me. He asked me who I’m most excited to give a Xmas gift to and I responded I don’t know it’s not that exciting and that stopped him dead in his tracks. They also threw in an extra breakfast item, I haven’t examined it yet but some sort of sandwich. Just what a fat guy needs. JADIP

Ridge is Basking Ridge NJ they’ve been training at Blue for 20+ years
-
It is what it is. The melt later this week should provide enough water for the racer kids to have razors open for Xmas week.
-
At least 15 maybe 17 if somebody has a snorkel
-
@saltyant do you think camelback mountain resort would allow something like this in the parking lot? Blue definitely would but would want the water when we are done.
-
It took me like 20 minutes to shovel and salt 227 feet of walkways full width..very easy shovelling snow. Almost took me that long to clean the snow off my car with the brush @RidgeRacer gave me a few years ago. Even has a scrapper attached. Cool beans.

You took the words right out of my mouth which is not very hygienic just like sharing a hot cocoa with your brah.

Hey All, I’m back from my he first powder day of the season at Blue mountain the true mountain. WOW I was up super early and tired and I looked outside and there were several inches of new snow..wow just wow. Easy Easy drive to Blue, was wet roads mostly until the backside of the mountain. Arrived around 715am and it was in the upper 20s under cloudy sky’s with the snow ending. At Blue I’d say a solid 4-5” of new snow. In the house was everybody except Schif, TP4, Nancy, NmSki, Zonked, Root, Ski2Live, Antman and RideDE. Despite such an early arrival, I was second civilian quad…in #1 by Nelly he says two is just a number and three nobody remembers but even being second chair the lucky first chair peeps saved a little fresh on coming soon The in run was boner doner with fresh fluff billowing over the boot Coming soon was groomed sometime mid store so had a few inches of fluff over groomed..was delightful better conditions than most Rocky Mountain resorts have now I skied a second run on coming soon and more Vermont conditions as the ice underneath was exposed. Then over to X-ing to Barney’s to Main Street for some remaining fresh skied that again and then lazy mile for the first time this season and was crazy mile and alright. I skied coming soon for the first time this season as well and was great with no features. I ended my session with two runs on paradise as the 3D snow was bugging my knee The upper 2/3 was great and smooth and last section a clusterfuck Crowds were moderate and when I left looked like almost a full corral of people on the super summit safari six pack Now I’m at work to shovel and count money before heading back to the hotel house to do THC experiments on myself JADIP Only six days until winter begins lol
