Blues open terrain is at least 2 times what Jf has open but pat yourself on the back extra for choosing Jack Frost. -
That’s rad..they probably wanted to show a snowboarder to promote diversity.

Hey All, I’m back from a fun morning session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at 835am and it was 36 degrees in the valley and 43 at the upper entrance..mad inversion Yo!!! In the house were the Bethlehem ford crew, C1, Rodney, Oz, ZZSlope and a couple hundred boomers. First civilian quad with Oz and I started off with Coming soon which was smooth but a little stiffer than I expected. Razors was better cord and I give it an 8 out of 10…upper Main Street and lower left was the nicest snow initially I give that an 8.5. Widowmaker was closed for racing but they hadn’t set up gates yet so I did one run on it and it was glorious to chute which was a little stiff but smooth. I skied Lazy to the falls once and it was decent until right before the turn where there were mini cookies, I revisited coming soon and also some little pebbles but not bad. Razorback had a few slick spots. Crowds were light but enough that there were people on almost every chair but no line. If it was only the quad running, there’d definitely be a short lift line so it shows the improvement of the brand new summit safari six back. I ended with Main Street which was turning choppy and spring like and peaced out right before 1030.

Inversion today…43 at upper entrance, 36 at the base..up at the peak it probably feels like Allentowns new sister city, Santo Domingo DR

I’ll be up tomorrow for the opening ding dong. Worked 6 days straight since I’ve been back from JH I need that weekday cord with the boomers and WFH peeps and at least a run or two on Razors hopefully.

I like the new lift but gosh, when I see it stopped I choose a different lift. It’s interesting how similar the lap times are with the new lift..plenty of times this last weekend I was on the quad while others were on the super summit safari six pack and I see them on homestretch or in the horseshoe next run..

@saltyant can you post the haters gonna hate video. That’s one of my favorite ski videos on YouTube.

One more for now. One of the great ski scenes from better off dead, shot at Snowbird Utah.

Jackson hole 2023…

Good: walking bare foot from my hotel building to NMSkis fireplace suite building down the icy wooden steps past the hot tub where I’d always catch a few sentences of conversation among Midwest ski club people. Somebody said they skied deep powder in Stevensons bowl off of apres vous(Saratoga)..maybe he saw Nazareth jay there. There was a younger woman in a bikini who didn’t have an ounce of body fat. She looked like a professional swimmer. If I had a chance to talk to her I’d tell her that if I was a professional swimmer I’d shave all my body hair in order to be more hydrodynamic in the water. She’d prob pelt me with snowballs and I’m alright with that. Yeah barefoot when it’s 5 degrees or minus 5 outside..maybe I’ll invest in some crocks for next years trip..I can put them in sport mode for walking the tree hundred and fiddy steps to the bagel place. Bad: when there’s 5 days left and you only have three clean shirts and three pairs of clean underwear left. Yeah I wore my Notorious BIG shirt like three or four times. Second time I wore it the waiter was calling me Big Poppy and I explained I only wore the shirt two hours the night before. I actually snapped this picture to send to my friend who gave me the shirt. I look faded -
Great topic on a terse Taco free Tuesday. I’ll start with the opening scene from serenade in Sun Valley. In the things gapers said thread on Teton Gravity, some lady on the chairlift at Sun Valley said that rich people ruined Jackson hole lol and sun valley is apparently a million dollars for a one bedroom condo SMH

Nice, what’s the price of chili these days? I think at Jackson hole a cup is $13 and a bowl is $19
