Hey All, I’m back from another mad steezy section at Blue mountain the true mountain. It’s 112..so people might wonder where the party at?? Well the party wasn’t in room 112 where the players dwell but at Blue mountain the true mountain. The snowmaking cannons were pumping out my favorite drug..pure and white..sneaux.. I arrived at the lower lot at 8:27am and it was in the low 20s under sunny sky’s. In the house were Atomic Jeff, Shadows and Bethlehem Ford guy. Just the quad open off the bat with snowmaking blasting on Razors, nightmare, Dream Weaver and a few random spots. There were a decent amount of people in the house but not as many as last Tuesday. First run on challenge Snow was really nice groomers left some ridges..Sidewinder had good snow and no people but the Root rollers on the last pitch were pretty close together which interrupted the flow for about 8 seconds. Next on tap was Main Street which had very nice snow too to bottom..especially the top and lower left..smooth cord. After a few runs in the guns on the quad atomic jeff signaled to go to the Main Street chair and we stayed there the rest of the session hitting Widowmaker to midway which was very nice and switchback which was like a Stevie wonder song..smooth and Blinde..if I was looking for a part time Lover it might be Switchback cause that run has been grate. A few more main streets..a couple beers and back here in dirty south Whitehall for some work. All in all fun skiing. I’ll likely be out for opening tomorrow and Thursday AM. Also they open at 8am on Monday for MLK day...JADIP

Are the vaccines free?

My parents signed up for their vaccines in February in Virginia. I guess a lot of the first group declined on vaccines so they are moving to the second and even third groups fast. My teacher friend is in the second group and she said she’d rather it go to a more at risk person first and I said,”don’t you want to see your nephew, family, friends and comfortably fly on planes” she said ok maybe I’ll get it. For the health care peeps and teachers and what not I feel like it’s a privilege to get the vaccine early so why not get it.

Did you rent ski boots out there or bring your own.

I think they look rad..bit of a hippie vibe.

Are your kids starting to miss Blue mountain?

Have you ever done goat yoga? My friend did in the fall and it looks like a bahhhdass time.

Did you at least get some nice early laps in before the lines got long??

I’m gonna continue to tell at least one person per session to pull mask up.

I did the,”excuse me, can you tell your friend to pull his mask up” in the liftline today. I forgot the really tall guys name, Joan’s husband and Alex’s dad but I’m gonna start calling him out everytime. He totally doesn’t give a fuck.

Under normal non-Covid times most people’s nose and mouths are not covered while skiing and riding..at least here in MASH mid Atlantic ski Hell. So many regular season passholders continue to be Richards. Deep in the liftline things are shoulder to shoulder so wear a mask..in the parking lot so what you want.

No he doesn’t..I’ve talked to him in past seasons..Blue let’s him take empty cans and bottles which he cashes in.

Nope not a Blue employee..it’s a guy who comes early to collect cans and bottles he cashed in at recycling center.
