IMG_9804.mov A couple months ago we were planning an Az trip after my son was done with college.His older brother moved to Tucson for a three year assignment and is back east . We came out for a visit and really loved the state so we’ve been back a couple times. Planning this trip in my mind there was no chance to ski but as the date got closer I was thinking maybe? Then they extended their season! Yes!!! …….No!!!! . We were stuck in Philly with the American Airlines Fubar on Saturday. Delayed then boarded and told we might un board😡 Then they unloaded the luggage from the earlier flight 😳People waiting 3hrs plus for their luggage!!! Finally off but 3hrs late. Fortunately I made it to Snow Bowl by 10:30 with 46° and the upper mountain in the 20’s winds ripping at 35. They got an inch overnight and some rime ice. Conditions were mashed with a little sugar and some marbles, pretty firm till about 1:30 and softened nicely. The lower 1/8th of the mountain was flypaper and upper was full on winter. Skied till closing at 4 pm and totally whooped.

Crazy that they started off so bad, but are still skiing. i think i saw on the web they were calling it 6 months of skiing.

I reallY am over the snow at this point. My friend went to Winter Park today (still open) and said it was like cement and hard to get through. Highly doubt we will get those totals but have been waking up to dustings to 2” several times this week.
