They will limit ticket sales, but those days you don't want to be anywhere around CB. Usually they run out of parking first.

Page 37 of Jan 2006 Ski Racing mag has a picture of John! It also has stuff posted about his race at the Killington Masters Opener. I think there might be a thread on here somewhere. Anyway great job John!!

Which would mean the ice they are worried about (assuming that is what you ment with safety) would be at CB, and not at blue. Detachable quads and ice, don't work very well. Anyway, from a bussiness standpoint, CB lost probably 30 bus loads of schools tonight, 30x40 (people on a bus) is 1,200 noobs...That is well worth staying open for, if they can. Assuming they didn't all cancel

You might as well try blue...

Tomorrow night

Probably, but I usually stay away from snowbaord topics

We <3 (love) Club night here on PASR, keeps the costs down for running Nastar all night. Let us know! Thanks

Bindings sound fine. If the shops set them there for her age and stuff, then thats a good place to start. If you start having issues, let the shop guys know, and they might think about changing it. 6 should be high enough for a few years, even though you probably don't want to crank it up past 5 if they only go to 6.

No one cares who any of you killed... Lets get this back on topic here people Mmmm snow

I think it has happened to every place around the poconos. I just thought it was funny that people were told that all the ski areas were closed in PA

Development team is the younger kids, learning how to race. Younger kids get antsy in line, older kids don't mind waiting in a 1 minute line (which is usually how long it would take the lifties to get to us, anyway).
-
If we are with a coach, we are allowed to cut the lines. Normally we don't cut them at all, but when they get to be long, we get tired of waiting around (sorry guys). I know the development team will cut them everytime they go up, we cut them maybe once a weekend.

Great pictures, great line! When you go threw the turn, you slow down a little, but if you are carving the skis then you are putting energy into them, so when you finish pressuring the ski at the end of a turn it will 'snap' you to the next turn (idealy) adding to your speed.

I never really knew (or paid attention to) that either. Is there anyway to see results from all the races J4-5s have done?
-
Thats National slope safety awareness week to you mister CB had a message on there condtions report about it, giving a tip each day...However in there base area they had people telling you to go in and try some sam adams then go back out skiing
-
Do they just do that for J3,1-2s? Or all age groups?

Right when you get off the Sully and go to the left, if you stay on the left there is one of those little things that drops of the trail and comes back up as a jump, and it was pretty small, and had a pine tree on the left side (trail was on the right)... I came up out of the jump (looked like only a few other people did it before me) and the pine tree had a block (like a 1x1x2 ft block) of ice hanging from the branch which I didn't see. It nailed me right in the left front side of my left leg, and I got spun around in the air when I hit it. I landed fine, and am ok, just have a niced sized bruse and a painful leg. Nothing serious, but a little pain for a day or 2. Sucks about the broken bones, hopefully you guys get out soon!

Thats why everyone at CB was so cranky after 10am...

Thanks guys. I was looking at it with the shop guys, and the general answer to the best way to tune it was "uhhhhh carefully?"

Fact: Shawnee was closed on sunday, due to not having power Possible rumor: The management there said that no mountains in the poconos had power, and that people should just go home. It was estimated that 1/4 of the people at CB came after shanwee was closed Just something to ammuse you guys

I was at CB from 8-3ish. They had no upper mountain lifts open in the morning, everyone was on raceway, meadows, glenn, sunbowl, colmore lifts, and the lines were freaking huge. Yay for being able to cut them cause your on the ski team ( skierforever) Around 1 they opened the Bailey, Marc, and Cleo chairs up to the top. At the same time they tried running the sully, but I guess it was still too windy to run it safely. Anyway, it was cold and windy all day.

Gusy I was in the CB repair shop last weekend when some guy came in with his new snowboard. He asked them how they would have tuned them, because the edges, insted of being in a straight line, were wavy. He said the board was made like that to help grip on ice. If any one of you boarders knows what kind of board im talking about, give me the name, cause I want to see more about it. Thanks

More props to CB for the way it was today... Super nice... Hopefully they are not forgetting about the rest of the mountain (asp, hump, cliff, pharow, nm)

Can I just say, that rocket....was fricking amazing today. They were blowing snow all day yesterday, and all last night on it, and then groomed it out. They had the piles (rollers) from the snowguns, and packed powder (which is only good when you are playing)....But the packed pow on the rollers, was supppper sweet, and you could make almost every turn off a roller...(or absorb everyone, if you wanted to do that)...Soooo nice snowgasmic!
