Not sure what the first model was, just that Elan came up with the first pair of them.
  3. From what I hear... Edit...stupid picture...
  4. 3 falls? Nastar is treating you rough IDK if the world is still round, I mean there aren't any flat out compliments to yourself
  5. Heres the problem guys... I would say just about everyone on this board knows basic park rules and stuff, its mostly the people that go skiing a few times a year, and don't really care what they do, or are just clueless about park rules that break them. preaching to the choir With that said, I must say that you can get sick air of the sides of the lil lips leading onto the rails
  6. It does work, and many ski areas (especailly around here, where they depend so much on snowmaking) use different chemicals in there water.
  7. Same around here

    cb friday

I am trying to get up too. Probably won't be around 8...but thats better than nothing. I also might have some cousins I need to ski with tomorrow night....Not sure yet. Anyway, see you around dth...is zaldon coming wiht his headlamp?
  9. Rob, I really don't get you. If USSA isn't what you want, don't do it. Thats the way it goes....If you don't want to do drills, I think blue mountain sets more gates than most other places... Do what you want, but its getting old listening to you complaining over and over again on how you know how to coach people better than coaches do. Back on the topic...Sibblit is my hero

Mine doesn't have padding. I figure if I'm gonna be hitting/getting hit by the gates, its gonna hurt, so I don't worry about it too much.
  11. http://catteam.com/page8.html http://www.catteam.com/page4.html There are many other things on there, but that should be enough of a start for you.

I'm dieing in anticipation....Somone who has Jeff's (or dougs) number should give them a call ASAP to find out whats going on after the first few runs. As far as shaped skis, Elan was the first compainy to come out with a pair of shaped skis....

    New goggles

What is the difference between high intensity....(seems like they have them in a few colors, yellow, blue)...are they mostly all for night?

    New goggles

Whats the difference between regular and high intensity lenses? high i. good at night?
  15. I have played around a little on my bike up there, but im not very good at mountain biking. I think Zaldon bikes up around there sometimes. Hes a pretty hardcore biker I think
  16. Just because you run gates or don't run gates, doesn't mean you will be good at skiing. I know a few people who have raced, trained, done nastar, all that good stuff for years and still finish in the last 5 every race they go to. Just like I know people who seem to pick up skiing wiht almost no effort. It seems like you are not very happy with the Camelback program, and want to change the whole thing because you don't think it works the best for Ridge. But then in the same breath you say things saying how new you are to this and don't really understand. IMO I think the Camelback race program is very good, not perfect, but good, and I wouldn't go trying to tell the coaches how to do there jobs. If all Ridge wants to do is run nastar, then there are plenty of places he can do that. If he wants to get to a higher level of skiing, then he is probably in a good program. I have watched him ski, hes good, but there is TONS of potentail for him to be a whole lot faster. If he wants to put the time and effort into it. If he does, then I would recomend to you that you let the coaches at whatever mountain you end up at, do their job. just my thoughts
  17. I would be curiious to see what mountain freestyle teams do. If they just get there the first day and try to huck switch 9s, or if they work on good form too.... Anyone know?
  18. Ok, I think I have to disagree, but we will never know. All I can say is there are very few guys on the World Cup who have raced as independants, not on a team...Infact I'm not sure there are any, or have been ever. Maybe ski999 knows....
  19. I wouldn't pay my lunch money to go in a park, but I don't think that should mean I shouldn't be able to be in a park (or a park with jumps that are bigger than 3 feet). On the same note, you can think about Nastar the same way. I bet ski racing would take off if you let people run gates for free...
  20. Minus allentown...
  21. What happens to the kid who isn't allowed to go into the park because his parents don't want to pay an extra $10? Should he not be allowed to ever see what the park is all about, atleast until he has his own money. Park passes might help the hard core park rats progress by keeping people out of the park, but it will limit the number of new people that try it...something to think about.
  22. Rumor has it, hes got some of the green $$$$ for certain ladies
  23. Are you saying that if ridge was on a ski team he would be better or worse than he is now?
