Mum is 5 minutes away from home..>So I should be up and on snow at 5...See all you guys who are going toninght later. No training for me tonight, just free skiing. Rain is coming around 10...so don't use that as an excuse for not coming tonight!
  2. It should be good next friday. Non holiday week days up there are good, weekends are not (general rule of thumb). The mountain mostly skis off the main quad, and sloww doulble lifts on the backside (dimond/double dimond terain only) of the mountain. You should be able to have a good day!

Not sure, but I am willing to bet if anyone went into that making a big GS turn, not expcting bumps would get trashed...even him...
  4. 217 points...Shiooot...thats like a first and 2nds he needs to get to catch up... Focus more on skiing than other things maybe? We will have to see where he is at the end of the season. Keep the updates coming '999
  5. Hey sounds good, I'll take it if 'cheese doesn't want it

I could see rocket being marked DD if they were going to perminantly keep it ungroomed. That sounds appropreate. I am also waiting for CB to put in a sign that says its not groomed...that just seems like a bad idea, not having a sign up about it...I woulldn't put it past someone (like myself) to see the top is flat, start a big GS turn, and then uhh die on the first bump

  8. 'Twasn't icey...They just didn't feel like waiting around for 2 people to take a few more laps A little slick maybe, but a good set...2 less gates than normal

I do, but I think saturday night (I think) its supposed to be cold, like <20 or so, so they should be able to blast out some snow...if they want to

I'm trying to get mum to shoot out of work around 230...So we can get up there around 5...I will be shooting around the mountain. We might have practice, from like 5-730(ish) but who knows. If you see me, say hi!
  12. And that would be one of the many problems with compairng one place of nastar to another....and stuff....All the pacesetters should have to be able to ski like...atleast under 18HC to add consistancy to it
  13. So wheres the guy with the 6 HC pacesetting?
  14. If you have the money, go for down-under
  15. Theft of services...Not sure who that goes after...but since you posted it on a message board, and they know who you are (the kid who got run into and hit a tree, and flew out on a chopper) they can figure out its your pass...I also wouldn't want to be the guy who had it on. I don't know if you are aware but CB management does read this board, and I don't think it is a good idea to be posting that type of stuff on here. This isn't a place to illiagally sell things. Sorry bro. Hope you feel better. If you keep it, you can go to the season pass party

There is a big timer at the finish, Just remember your fastest time.
  17. Just a side note. I believe BB and JF have the highest base elevations of any mountain, and tend to get a little more natrual snow, and stay a few degrees colder. But I could be getting confused with another mountain.

Just so there is no confusion...List the terms here Volkl or Rob...just so we all know...
  19. An artical in Ski Racing Mag from the USST http://www.skiracing.com/news/news_display.php/3048/ALPINE "U.S. Ski Team coaches giving Bode Miller an ultimatum By Nathaniel Vinton January 10, 2006 The head coach of the U.S. men?s ski team said Tuesday that Bode Miller could be excluded from the team if he doesn?t distance himself from comments about drinking and skiing. ?It?s grown to a place where it?s no longer about being opinionated and outspoken,? McNichol told The Associated Press. ?It?s about how much do I really want to be here.? Alpine director Jesse Hunt was en route to Wengen on Tuesday when Ski Racing reached him by cell phone. "At the end of the day, whether a skier is a star or not, they have to be prepared to live within the values of the team," said Hunt. The coaches' hardline is only the latest in the strange fallout from comments Miller made in on the CBS News program "60 Minutes." McNichol said Miller needs to ask if the ?values and methods and image and the methodology? of the U.S. Ski Team are something he is ?proud of and wants to be a part of.? McNichol was visibly drained Tuesday when he visited reporters in the Wengen press room. ?There?s been an overwhelming response of ?Is this the poster child you want for your organization,' '' he said. Asked if he thought the U.S. Ski Team was overreacting, he said the team had failed to react to a lot of things in the past, and suffered because of it. ?It?s important in an individual sport to have an individual approach,? said McNichol, ?[but] to be part of an organization like the United States Ski Team, there's quite a bit of obligation and understanding of this system of how it works and who does what, what needs to get done and it's not doing it on your own.? Good thought. It just sucks that I have been told by atleast 3 Nastar members who are on this site a lot that they would join it, but they stated that the constant badgering is the ONLY thing keeping them from signing up for it. Like people have said on the CB board (whether its true or not) if you post a little about it, people may be more interested in looking (or in this case joining)...if you post everyother topic on it, then they will be sick of it and blow it off. IMO

Everyone knows the PASR Nastar team exsists...Thats what I was saying. I am sick of reading "And join the PASR nastar club team after you register" You know who else is sick of reading it? Everyone whos not on it, because they don't like to feel pressured into joining it.
  22. is he a team player because when a group of USST members goes to a mountain to train with a mountain team, he 'doesn't feel like it' and goes off and skis by himself. Or because he wants to creat his own racing league, and not race on the USST anymore?
  23. . , ; : <<you should try to use some of those, and people may be able to understand you better From what I hear, they are only looking into the right side (as of right now). Also the backside of the moutain, is south facing, meaning it gets hit with the mid-day sun, which would melt the snow way to quickly for a PA ski resort...Which is why all resorts around here only face north. I would be very surprised to see any trails there.
  24. Expanding the lodge is in the plans for this summer I think. Also expanding the ski area is something they are looking into...by about 50% is what they are going for in the next few years. Tho if they expand, it won't be on the backside of the mountain, it would be on the side....right side looking at the mountain to be exact.

Nastar runs from 1-3PM on raceway...I would get there at 1, or you will be stuck behind the development team. Register ealier in the day in the West Caff. (ski school desk there) Volkl, I'm sure Papa can sign as your legal guardian if you need it $5 gets you 2 runs, 10 gets you unlimited...
