  1. I don’t know about the hotel, but you can buy lift tickets at the CBK lodge, at the base of Sunbowl near the mountain coaster. We’ve taken to parking in the lot right along Sunbowl there and then it’s not a long walk to the lodge/snow and a pretty easy glide down to the indoor waterpark lift. The problem with tailgating at Camelback is they send security around on random patrols to harass patron and make sure they’re not drinking. Not sure if they bother with the dirt lot, and not sure if they would care about grilling if you weren’t drinking.
  2. Arcaro & Genell is phenomenal as well, I've had them several times. Revello's is usually the go to because it's my mom's favorite. It'll just be me and my dad tho, so maybe split a half tray of A&G sausage for lunch, and grab a couple trays parbaked from Revello's to bring home to the family. I was born in Scranton and lived in the area until I was 10, have been back many times as I still have extended family in the area.
  3. Thanks. I’m not worried, the ticket is paid for and I’m sure we’ll have fun on whatever’s left. If it’s just awful we can always head down to Blue, it’s on the way home. After lunch at Revellos or Coney Island Lunch, of course
  4. Wow, $10 tickets for closing day this Saturday at Montage. Good on them. Will be there, have tickets that I bought on Sweet Deals. Turns out I could have saved $4.50. Go figure.
  5. Ended up with 8 runs in about an hour and a half. Didn't enjoy them all, but I enjoyed the night. Figure I'm a better skier now than I was 2 hours ago, if only by a little bit.
  6. Bought those skis on this lift ride. No one tell my wife
  7. Not really, just more bumped than I was hoping for. Was in the mood to rip a few runs but conditions are more technical than that. At least for my skill level.
  8. Here now. Should have stayed home. But whatevs, one more day
  9. Yeah, I don’t have a thing for demo bindings or anything, just that I’ve been buying skis on deals as I settle in to the hobby, and that’s what they’ve come with. It’s worked out well so far in that I didn’t have to pay for a remount when I just bought boots and went down a whole size, and I can let my dad have a run at my skis from time to time. I’m sure I’ll want to go fixed binding eventually. Not Aaatacks, SP12. I can only imagine how much my skiing could improve without all that extra weight from a demo binding . . .
  10. All of my skis have demo bindings on them
  11. Headed up after work, as early as I can. Probably only get an hour or so in, but it’s bonus time. Also trying hard to resist buying some ex-demo Monster 108s right now.
  12. I wish I could stick around tomorrow for a Sausage Saturday. Be a good final hurrah, with Sally in town, and so many people missing next weekend. Just can’t be there that long. If anyone else is bringing a grill, I can bring a contribution.
  13. I’d take the iron. Planning to learn to wax my own shit this off season
  14. Will be there for a short session. No grilling this weekend due to Easter obligations early afternoon Saturday.
  15. That would have been my plan but my mom is having an Easter thing for the family with an egg hunt for all the kids, sk an early session at Blue is the only thing that makes sense for me this weekend
  16. These are down to $12.50, plus 2 bucks processing fee. Bought two, might hit it up 4/7. Montage made snow this morning.
  17. Probably got the same Lightning Deal I did, lol
  18. Bought this one last July. I have no complaints so far and haven’t heard any from the wife: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01NANZ3HQ/
  19. That’s not what the surface of the moon looks like. Uranus, maybe . . .
  20. My favorite hike on Oahu was Likeke Falls, hiked down from the Pali lookout. Also liked Maunawili Falls, but we took that hike on too late in the day and as our 4th waterfall for the day so it wasn’t as enjoyable. Get some malasadas from Leonard’s while in town!
  21. Camelback had their tailgate day yesterday. I think it was only $20 to reserve a spot. An absolute bargain. Probably still couldn't bring your own beer though, I saw they had a draft beer trailer out there. At least only 5 bucks each. Edited because I found evidence they allowed alcohol for this one day event. Will admit when I'm wrong.
  22. Strong rumor is weekend of 14/15. Haven't heard rumors of weekday operations ceasing, but our parking lot speculation is this week is probably it for weekdays
