  1. I suppose not. I'm not as hardcore as you so just did Upper Mackenzie instead which was challenging enough for me. Empire has a lot of thin cover and I didn't want to scratch my RTMs
  2. TFTI. On the gondoobiy and will try the run Approach to Upper Empire and then to the Summit Quad to do some radical runs up there
  3. @eaf I did my patriotic duty to try and reduce the line for the greater good, and offered a single ski patroller to sit >6 feet away from me on the wiiiiide 4 person lift; he said he couldn't but was very polite about it. So we both rode our own chairs and made everyone wait an extra 15 seconds.
  4. It's dumping gonna be deeeeeeeeeeeeeep.
  5. @eaf look, 8 person gondola car all to myself and look at all those people in line! So much room for activities in here!
  6. FUNNNK YEAH!! 2nd civilian gondola car and got the most muthafunkin' amazing groomed run down the mountain! Pure western groomer awesomeness! No brakes on these RTMs. And will get free refills all day this is GRATE!
  7. Staying at the Trout hotel by the Whiteface ski resort mountain and then drive back tomorrow
  8. Walking to the gondola, another skier moved the barricade so he didnt have to walk all around the maze. No one said two beanie words. Then I did the same exact thing 15 seconds later and everyone started throwing a bitch fit. I said "well he did it so I can too!". The guy said not to make him look bad he's old so he can do it, but I said I'm lazy so that's a good reason too. Off to a grate start!!
  9. Some pizza place but I didnt like the the bizza so i just ate 6/8 slices and didnt even ask for a doggy bag
  10. Why not land your helicopter in your spot before your trip, then fly to ABE, board your Cessna Citation to Durango and then take the heliski copter to your luxury condominium with mega jacuzzi right at door??
  11. Wao, thanks for the offer! I actually started typing in my old RTM thread that maybe it's time for me to try something longer and wider. While I rip down groomers great, I still have a hard time in ungroomed. Maybe more advanced skis will help a tad? 🤷🏻‍♂️
  12. Thought there were clouds on the horizon at first but no... those are mountains of Vermont. Very sickbird! I wonder if that's Mt. Mansfield in the middle? I can Google Earth it later & try to figure out what Peak it is
  13. I was wondering where Mt. Mansfield is when I was riding the lift. Saw 2 large mountains on the horizon, will look them up later. If I find Smuggler's Notch I'll wave to Moe Ghoul and yell for him to come here for better skiing
  14. Morning crowds here are semi weekend like, but after lunch the lines become really short and it feels like the midweek ski trip skiing I've come to know and love
  15. Your trip will come soon enough. Yah it's grate here. Better than Vermont in my personal opinion
  16. Grate morning and perfect Blue bird day. Linez are starting to go down for lunch, hopefully everyone goes home. Been doing black diamond and blue square runs mostly off the Freeway lift which are fun and steep. Will aim for lots of summit runs if the lines continue to dwindle 🤞🤞🤞🤞
  17. I'm carrying 2 ski locks, both a combo and a key lock. But the ski stands outside lodges arent always easy to lock to and sometimes I'm too lazy to deal with the combo lock Currently eating a Steezeburger in the Bear Lodge and found 1 stand which accommodates ski locks.
  18. Upper Skyward was grate and steeeeeeep. Wuao! Taking a hot cocoa break in the mid mountain lodge. Left my skis outside unlocked. Hope no one steals my RTMs
  19. Thanks for the info!! Heading back up via the gondola, will check these trails out. Also I might do the summit lift because the gondola line took about 30 minutes (not a complaint directed at Whiteface, I'm sure all resorts worldwide are facing agonizingly slow gondola lines this year). Yesterday the crowds cleared out by the afternoon, hoping it's the same thing today if people work from home ski 90 minutes in the morning etc.
  20. Thanks. Did my first run from the Gondola, took approach and Woodlands or something all the way down the mountain. I love Whiteface!! It's clearing up nicely and I can see the scenery which is rad. No wilmington trail
  21. On the gondoobie. This is grate! Some bastard cut in front of me even though I was there 15 minutes before him but I ain't even mad!!!
