I hope it snows 50 inches within a 2 mile radius over Blue Mountain, otherwise if it doesnt stop early elsewhere (specifically over rts 309 & 424, I-81, I-80, I-287) I might have to ski Hunter on Wednesday instead of Whiteface and that would be uncool.

Forecast at Lake Placid looking a little better tomorrow night for my drive there.... the winter storm warning is until 7 am Wednesday, but the Weather channel is now showing light snow instead of dumping snow starting at 1:00 pm though the night. Yesterday I prophylactically booked a Comfort Inn at the halfway point for my trip, so I can at least ski Hunter on Wednesday if necessary. As everyone has mentioned that the NY thruway will be drivable (even in a Chevy Sonic) hopefully I wont need to stay there. I'd rather ski Whiteface for all 3 days instead of 1 day at Hunter and 2 at WF, so hopefully this stupid Perder storm ends early.

Correct. Free refill days are the absolute best days I've ever had skiing. Used to think free refills meant the ski resort bar gives out free beers all day long on a powder day. I wont be skiing today but have a grate time!

Yeah that was grate, where did that coating of untracked snow come from? I never get why Razor's is usually good while Challenge is the suck, even though they're literally right next to each other 🤷‍♂️ My only wild ass guess is they put better snow blower machines on Razor's for the race team.

Yeah, I did yell "EAF" from the Challenge Express and saw you look up. The other 2 or 3 times I saw you skiing towards the quad gates. You weren't the only one that said they felt cold today, I did too and heard someone on the lift say the same thing. I actually skied 'til 10 today (>90 minutes) because it was so grate out, but the line waiting was starting to wear me down so I hit the parking lot to drink some Yoohoos and hang out with @MattEDGE.

I was at Elk a few years ago right after it dumped like 2 ft. A guy I knew was there and he skied off limits every run and didnt give a flying funk if he got caught.

I saw you a bunch of times mostly skiing towards the 4 pack quad lift while I was in line. They did seem to do better pairing up people. You'll be very proud of me as I asked twice to pair up with people but they said Nope. A couple on the quad, and a trio on the 6er, were both terrified of me joining them and looked at me like i was full of viral bacterium

I have grate all season tires @AtomicSkier so my Chevy Sonic will be just fine

Tuesday will probably be a fuster cluck like last time @Benm went on a post Perder day but at least the Valley lifts are open this time so maybe not

I can't make it tomorrow but have a grate time and be sure to write a report!

Anyway Razor's Edge was in really really great shape and @mute1080 even witnessed me do a fist pump enroute. Challenge was meh at first but it definitely improved after 9 am or so and I did a few runs down it. My RTMs felt amazing as I got a fresh wax and edge yesterday. I rate today's conditions an 8.5/10
