  1. I'll do two reports today: one lesson report and one general report which excludes lesson details. I made that run once with the instructor. I was going to ski it top to bottom the last run but they closed the lower half, so I exited and took Gondolier the rest of the way.
  2. Ended the day with 29,190 ft. I just got a text from JF Dan saying "woah dude, sweet RTMs" and also that he'd be devastated if I quit this site. So I'll update my stats, even those 2 sessions at Seven Springs and Camelback although I don't really consider those skiing, but I did make it down the runs without falling.
  3. Wow, a gold star AND a recommended post both in one day! I'm well on my way to some day being 1/8 as popular as GrilledSteezeSandwich.
  4. Stuck on the gondoobie. Over 27k but I pissed around in The toll house area for a few runs and that lift is so dang slow. Plus my lesson but still a great day. Just about to hit Chin Clip and see if I want to try Moguls anymore, if not I'll hit one of the 2 exits and run Gondalier.
  5. Uh oh just realized Thursday is going to be rough. I might have to skip the free breakfast to get all the powder. Maybe ill look for a grocery store and just buy a 6 pack of granola bars and eat all 6 on Thursday morning. The cool thing here is the lifts open at different times so if I plan well I can get 3 deep untracked powder runs at least
  6. Yeah I'm on vacation and I don't feel like stressing over the drive Thursday morning. The roads will be fine by Thursday afternoon to get to Rutland and maybe I'll stay an extra night and ski Killington Saturday, and if it gets crowded I may try Pico instead since I hear that never gets too crowded. My passes are good for any day and are direct to lift, but hard to sell because theres no way for the buyer to verify they haven't been used
  7. Just bought another ticket for Thursday lol. This mountain is so big I feel like ive still only scratched the surface. Had Such an epic untracked run down gondalier that I need to do that again. Currently eating at the top of the Gondola restaurant. Going bankrupt from this trip and now Trump has made my portfolio worthless.
  8. ok. Just wrapped up. Report to come later. He didn't tell me to quit skiing so that's cool. He told me I ask a lot of questions and called my skis "narrow", but he was a good dude and I think It was helpful. I'll post the video on YouTube that he took of me skiing but only if JF Dan or Toast text me to tell me my RTMs are rad.
  9. Rode the lift with a lady from Texas who said she was bored at Stowe because she normally skis Colorado. She said the mountains are too small. Bah this place is like Verbier compared to anything in PA.
  10. I hope so. Since all chairs at Killington open at 9 I should have no problem making first chair since I plan to skip the hotel's free breakfast that day. Maybe I'll stop at McDoodles for a McMuffin.
  11. Stowe. I get the night free so this is a difficult call.
  12. Thanks Ghoul for your words of encouragement. Hit me up if you decide to come back over the mountain Wednesday. Hope the snow doesn't stop me from getting to Killington Thursday Because I need to use my 2 nonrefundable passes. :S
  13. Steeze did you ever meet the hot dog lady from Burlington???
  14. Yep I will get them to harshly criticize everything about my form.
  15. I got a lot of untracked on Toll Road. When I got to the top it was windy foggy and snow was blowing everywhere so I couldn't see. Because I was skiing poorly a week ago I just did Toll Road as a warm up and then realized I haven't actually forgotten how to ski. I found a deep powder stash in a terrain park and I was worried about hitting a covered terrain feature. The powder was really deep in there and almost entirely untracked.
  16. Oh shit I tried to go back and edit it to mm but the editing deadline had already passed. Now I'm concerned Steeze will think I'm a Jerry.
  17. I like them both. Not sure I prefer one over the other yet.
  18. Day 2. Great first day at Stowe despite a few issues getting the day started. Made some runs on Lord and many other blues off the 4 Runner, then went over to the Spruce side to meet up with Moe Ghoul, who recognized me from noticing some sa weet RTMs which are 81 cm wide. After Ghoul departed made a few more runs on some green gaper trails and some harder ungroomed blues. Also Made 2 black diamond runs, my first In VT. Upper Smugglers proved to be too difficult, as it was really choppy steep and narrow. Upper Main Street was much better because it was comparatively closer to the groomed conditions I'm accustomed to. Tomorrow will be another epic and rad Day. Hoping they run the Gondeela so I can check out that part of the mountain. Spent apres skiing at Matterhorn and ate some tuna tacos and spicy fries and two cokes. Now sitting next to the fireplace in the breakfast area staying toasty near the giant oversized teddy bear.
  19. Enjoyed our lift ride discussions and doing runs with you. Good times. Thanks for hiking over from Smuggs to meet up.
  20. Not sure yet, maybe Matterhorn. I'll write a report later tonight after dinner.
  21. I was walking in ski boots and that hill is so damn steep. Plus I haven't done any exercise since November. Had to buy an overpriced $3 orange juice to recover lost fluids.
  22. I'm going to try for first chair tomorrow. I failed to plan well this morning and forgot to see what time breakfast starts. Then I was delayed more because I kept stuffing my face, took 5 minutes to get my car up the hill, got stuck in traffic, had to pick up my RTMs, had to go back to the car because I forgot my poles, couldn't get my boots on because they got snow in them, and then struggled to get up the hill from the parking lot to 4 runner and kept falling and was huffing and puffing and looked like a total jerry. If there was a video of it youd all be laughing like hyenas. I got an untracked run on Toll House which was a lot of fun but too many flat sections so I likely wont be doing that again. Its so fucking rad out here. Made 4 runs total, 3 on blues. I usually don't know what trail I'm on and just ski around randomly. Lord was a lot of fun. Hit some deep powder In an ungroomed terrain park with a lot of untracked which was sa weet.
