  1. Most of those tags aren't mine. I have no control over my tags. Guess I'll be a terminal "freshman".
  2. Could be but I dont feel tired today. Tried tightening my boots so hopefully that helps. When I put pressure in the front of my boots my skiing is great. If I cant get pressure in the front then my skiing sucks. Shrug.
  3. I need much more practice in deep perder before Verbier. I try to turn like on groomed runs and that obviously doesn't work.
  4. Maybe I'll check out some Toll Road glades. Looking for something easy. My skiing blows today and I don't know why, I was doing so well the last 3 days. Can't get any pressure in the front of my boots no matter what I do. The boots feel loose despite I have the buckles set to their usual position, so will try tightening them incrementally. Was here at 6:50 and there were no cars. Was 3rd person in line. By 7:45 it was jam packed. Then they queued us through the reader and my damn card wouldn't read, so I ended up on the 6th chair. I was so pissed and was cursing. So were the people behind me. But the damn thing worked every other time on the mountain, including afterwards, so it was complete bullshit. Found one stash of deep untracked powder on North Slope. It was deeeeep. I dont know how to turn in deep perder so it was different but so amazing. After that run the hoards tracked out all the powder and the Gondola line was insanely long so I went to Spruce to get some more untracked. Not as deep because they groomed Spruce last but it was ok. Overall a little disappointed with today since I had ultra high expectations. Nothing this week will match that first run I made down Gondolier on Tuesday in the untracked. For me (currently) that's as good as it gets.

To make it even more confusing, apparently JohnnyLaw's actual name isnt even John, unless they were trolling me...
  6. Thanks Steeze! I'll pay for my bagel though. I might be annoying but I'm no freeloader. You better be careful with comments like that. Toast might give you a strike two.
  7. Just overheard the hotel owner say people will be lining up at the 4 Runner by 7:15. Guess I'll be eating my fig newtons so I can get fresh.
  8. I've read that sign at several resorts and still brought them in anyway. I think it's one of those rules that isn't heavily enforced. Worst case scenario they'll ask you to take your skis outside so I figure it's worth the risk. But if the lodge is crowded I leave them outside so I dont poke someones eye out.
  9. There's a bus here and breakfast was crowded today so I guess that's why. I'm driving to K-ton tomorrow after Stowe. Might quit at 2 pm so I have time to take the Ben and Jerry's tour. Of course if I'm having fun I'll keep skiing. I like stupid touristy things like that and it's only $4.
  10. Possibly. Not sure which trail it was. Excellent news. Breakfast will be served tomorrow at 7 am!! I plan be out of the hotel no later than 7:15 and will try to be in line at 4 Runner for 7:40 like you said. Today at breakfast both of my cheeks were stuffed with bread and I couldn't talk. Wish I could eat breakfast faster but couldn't chew efficiently enough. Maybe I'll just chug a bottle of maple syrup tomorrow.
  11. I usually boot up at my car but when there's snow on the ground I boot up inside because if I accidentally get my socks wet from the snow it's game over and impossible to get the boots on. I just toss my shoes in a bin and they haven't been stolen yet. Doubt anyone wants them but if they get stolen I'll just go to the Salvation Army and get a few pairs to leave in ski lodges. Don't want to threadjack Root since he's always cool to me. Hope you had fun riding the gondoobie Root. I'll have to check out Belleayre some time.
  12. Glad you got to enjoy the powder today. I've been taking my skis in the lodge every day to boot up. Probably being a gaper, but just too lazy to lock them outside and no one's yelled at me yet.
  13. My runs for the day. Turns out yesterday I thought Hayride was a blue because I didn't actually do Hayride. Not sure what trail on but I think it was a blue that led into Hayride. Did it today and it was moderately difficult with moguls across.
  14. I drank a dark coffee with marshmallows and almond milk this afternoon. Does that count?
  15. Ho lee fook. Never thought I'd see the day. I'll have to print this out and frame it next to my trail maps.
  16. I don't even know what that means. But Piecasso has the best canolli. Tastes just like play dough. Too bad it and today's epic powder day both have to come to an end.
  17. Thanks Moe Ghoul. I'm actually staying at Stowe and then driving to Rutland after. Tomorrow is going to be so damn epic. Have fun at Smuggs!
  18. Yeah I'm pretty sure it's open but ungroomed. I opted for Sterling which is a fantastic trail with no traffic. Kept getting free refills. I wanted to run Main Street more but it was so damn windy and hard to see at the top of the mountain to get there.
  19. I skiied some glades off Toll Road. Since I'm solo im worried about hitting a giant rock and getting injured and being buried until ski patrol digs me out in May. I know most people on here would be thrilled but that would suck for me.
  20. At Piecasso living it up. Very attractive waitresses. Ordered a Coke, garlic knots and the stromboli with spicy meat. Once I get back to the hotel I'm doing nothing, maybe relax by the fire with a decaf coffee and read some Jack Reacher in between PASR posts and watching the snow.
  21. Actually cleared it off 10 minutes ago and now in Mansfield Lodge. About 4-5 inches on it I think. I'm exhausted so called it quits for the day. Got 33k vert today a world record so I'm happy. Tomorrow I think after 9 am I will spend most of the day on Spruce and Sensation areas, but will definitely get some first Trax off 4 runner and Gondalier trails. I'm spoiled now and dont even want to think about skiing ice, boiler plate, or mashed potatoes or slush.
  22. Pretty great day here again. Got a lot of untracked runs in once the storm started. Competition hill was probably the best run of my day. Its a little short but has some pitch and the whole left side was untracked around noon so i made repeated runs. Also Sterling was fantastic as no one else was over there at all. Kind of regret going back across to the main mountain because I think the skiing was much better over here on the Spruce side due to lower volume. Relaxing with a dark coffee with marshmallows and almond milk and then heading back out for a few more runs. The Spruce lodge dining room is my favorite place to relax. Very nice panoramic view of the mountain and ice skating pond.
  23. Grilled Steeze told me he knows the owner of this resort and he'll let them know I'm buried in the perder so ski patrol can come dig me out. That's what Grilled Steeze told me when we rode the 6 pack with Matt Edge that one night. Grilled Steeze told me he has connections.
