  1. I think they were actually - which would explain why they weren't really biting. I spent most of my time playing the the trolling motor on the kayak instead of fishing...did catch a few (the dumb ones that weren't wearing masks)
  2. I'm looking forward to doing nothing on Thanksgiving. I never take off Black Friday (maybe do a half day this Friday) so traveling and having to go to work the next day sucks. On another note, I traveled to NJ Saturday night to fish (drove there, fished, came home - no stops except for gas on the PA turnpike). The authorities/quarantine police have not shown up at my house yet.
  3. I have a 20% any "soft goods/apparel" coupon for Buckman's - valid from December through sometime in January...They gave it to me when I bought my snowboard last month, but I don't think I'll use it. If anyone wants it, let me know. It should be valid on a new jacket, etc. but I don't really need anything.
  4. The lot shenanigans are as much fun, if not more, than the skiing
  5. Nice...need some pants to make it a sweet new kit
  6. Haha...my mom is cool and all, but she's not a rock star like Ski2Live That makes sense. I'm sure his agents are already in contact with Blue to get reservations then
  7. If they care to open? Dude you sound like my mom...."I made dinner if you actually care to eat it" I'll start writing up a letter to Blue today for you though - petitioning for them to open Saturday so you can conquer the steeps of Easy Out.
  8. I didn't even consider the fish's feelings. I'm a terrible person. I'm not sure how I could find a way to link accounting/finance and fishing together haha. I didn't have any issues the few times I fished NJ in the spring, so I think I should be ok, but I guess I'll find out.
  9. Planning on fishing NJ a few more times this year. I wonder if that will be frowned upon. I fill up on gas before leaving PA and don't really stop at any stores/restaurants or come in contact with people, so I can't imagine I'd be putting myself/others at risk
  10. I rarely eat at chain restaurants, but yeah...I started getting more takeout, crowlers, etc. since this started and still have been doing that like once or twice a week. Another shutdown is likely going to put some places out of business. One of my favorite local breakfast places just shut down. Small space, so the decreased capacity really hurt them.
  11. That's a nice thing to do. my workplace cancelled both the children's christmas party and the regular employee one. Don't care so much about the employee one, but something for the kids would be nice (they usually hand out toys to the kids at the parties, so hooking the kids up with toys would be cool) that's my guess too. doesn't affect me too much. It doesn't sound like the day cares are going to shut down
  12. Tent sale was Wednesday through Saturday I think. They had one in October and one last week. I'm not sure if they usually have 2, but the ones in Exton seemed to have a lot of stuff both times
  13. Same. I'm able to work from home on occasion (i.e. doctor's appointment/kid being sick), but I don't work from a laptop so I can't work from wherever I want, or more than every once in a while
  14. I really wanted to get out West in the 2021 season (March or April) but it's not looking promising. Hopefully I can at least do a trip somewhere on the east coast for short trip.
  15. I'm sure tighter restrictions for the rest of PA are not far behind. I've heard from multiple people that they're going to announce something soon, but not sure what exactly is going to happen. At least it looks like daycares will still be open, although that could change.
  16. No matter how many dumps I take before leaving, I usually end up making a stop along the way
  17. This is accurate or at least it was last weekend
  18. jealous...WFH for me would save me 2+ hours a day, and quite a bit of money on gas and tolls. I actually did way more work when I was home because I have extra time from not commuting, plus no one bothering me really
  19. Yeah I don't mind fishing in the cold. I'll fish up until the end of the year depending on the weather. Freshwater, there are still some fish to target in the winter, but I don't usually bother...trout, pickerel, pike, etc. I was planning to go north to Montauk again Sunday/Monday, but the cold front will likely push the migrating fish further south, plus the winds might pick up
  20. Snow sounds awesome and all but this cold front is messing up my weekend fishing trip...
  21. I'm thinking they'll at least try to have night skiing - if they can do it and it's profitable for them, I don't see why they wouldn't. Just another rumor, but I've heard some of the trails aren't going to be lit up at night this year due to the extra lighting installed to illuminate the TP4 statue.
  22. Should've been more specific....maybe they're only going to have night skiing on weekend nights (keeping the pot stirred here)
  23. Your feet might be dragging off this board then - you're still welcome to try it though
  24. Yeah it seems to be a great board from all the reviews I've read. You're welcome to take it for a ride this season...not sure what size board you usually ride, this is a 154, reviews say up to a size 10 boot or so for width
  25. I know most people probably don't care because it's a snowboard...but I'll be picking up another board from Buckman's this week....Capita Outerspace Living - love my other Capita board that I bought used, but it's getting pretty beat up at this point. Between the pre-season sale and the store credit from the tent sale (should be processed by now), I'll only end up paying about $275 for the board.
