  1. Have a good trip guys, looking forward to seeing pics and reports. Here are a few past steamboat pics to clutter your thread. First two are in Triangle trees off storm peak lift. Third is hiking the second part of east face on a powder day
  2. When I go out west, and occasionally when I fish, I bring my Olympus digital camera. I think it's the Stylus Tough model or something like that...waterproof, crushproof, etc. I guess it's kind of a pain carrying that plus a phone, but at least I don't have to worry about dropping my phone in the snow or off the lift.
  3. Blue Knob is awesome if there's a good amount of natural snow. Looks like they don't have a lot of trails open currently
  4. I think I only made it to Tussey twice when I was at Penn State...Blue Knob once. They had a stocked fishing pond across from the mountain, I used to fish that when it was warmer
  5. I plan on making it one of the days...not sure which day yet. Should be nice spring conditions once it warms up.
  6. Looking forward to the trip report. I haven't been to Steamboat in a few years, but always had fun there.
  7. I would have liked to. He was pretty chill and good with kids
  8. I was hoping to make it to Blue again today, at least for a morning session. I took the day off since my wife and kid both have off, but wife is sick. I took my daughter to the library to read books with a puppy, and then we hit the playground
  9. Supposedly this past weekend was the last weekend for NMDW being closed...Lady on the lift told me her son was in the boardercross program and it was the last weekend for it. And yeah, it seems tickets are expensive everywhere. Imagine if these idiots complaining about costs and crowds went out west and paid $ 200 or whatever it is to ski Vail/Breck/whatever and dealing with those crowds on a weekend or powder day.
  10. First run down nightmare dreamweaver was awesome. Would have lapped that if they didn't close it. Sidewinder and main street were good and switch was a little more firm but still good. The glades were pretty much solid ice, at least the ones I hit. Parking lot brunch was amazing.
  11. Between the incoherent sentence and upside down pics, I think they may still be drunk from yesterday
  12. Either Saturday or Sunday...probably Sunday since it looks like a nicer day.
  13. least runs per day and most beers consumed awards may be attainable... I've never heard of Jackson Hoke...is that near Jackson Hole?
  14. Today was great...or grate. Sidewinder was the run of the day for me. I put new bindings on both of my boards, so I was doing some adjustments through the morning, but with the soft snow, I was able to break them in and carve pretty easily. Brunch was awesome...good time, see you guys next weekend
  15. That's a lot of snow. My friend in steamboat was going to ski rabbit ears pass this weekend. I'm guessing hes not going to get out with that much snow
  16. Red F-150, probably smells like delicious parking lot meats
  17. Nice report...I had to bail before the sausage Sunday meats were served, but parking lot was fun...Thanks to Johnny Law for the Hidden River beer. Run of the day for me was probably Switchback. I hit Sidewinder last and it seemed to have softened up a bit compared to when I hit it second run this morning.
  18. Looking like I'll be there Sunday now instead of Saturday.
  19. Thank you sir. I'm thinking I'll be there Saturday, but I have to make sure the wife doesn't have plans first
  20. I don't ski, so I chose the last option. I'm not good at skiing or snowboarding but I'm hoping to be there one of the days anyway.
  21. looking forward to the report. have a good trip
  22. Hope you heal up quickly indiggio. It's the worst when you get taken out by someone who doesn't know what they're doing.
