I think Epic was $650ish last year, so this is a better deal. I wouldn't switch to the Vail resorts but they have almost 2 weeks to come up with their pricing. I am sure Vail will do some adjustments. This also means Winter Park will be a complete shit show on weekends (more than now). I am sure I will get the Ikon base but still waiting to see if Crested Butte pulls something out of their hat. And I don't think anyone around here buys single mountain passes. Maybe with the exception of Loveland. The multi mountains are too good of a deal.

details released for the Ikon Pass, goes on sale 3/6. I am somewhat disappointed there are not more levels. Only 2. $599 for the cheaper one which includes unlimited Copper, WP, Eldora and some others with 5 days at Jackson Hole, Aspen and some others with blackout dates. Yeah, you should check out Winter Park. Now that I don't have a place there anymore and drive instead of taking the shuttle, I never go on the WP side. Always park on the Jane side and hang out there. Lots of terrain.

None. Some of that snow came when the mountain was still open yesterday. And for whatever reason there were multiple accidents on I-70 this morning. Was at the park and ride 7:30 to meet my son, but he hit traffic then it was stop and go. Got to the mountain at 9:20. Then I had to wait in line to get him a buddy ticket for 30 minutes. Brutal.

7” in last 24 hours. I just have to get better at skiing chopped up snow. Right now I suck at it and it tires me out.

Really strange weather here today. I left at 6:30 to go to Winter Park. Fog was so bad I turned around before I-70. Thinking I would wait to see if it burned off and head to Eldora. But just checked and they already have 25+ mph winds, so now I am completely uninspired.

Squaw will be on the new Ikon Pass. Look into multi mountain passes for the others. All switching around this year but I am sure there will be deals to be had. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I am sure there will be multiple levels as with the current Epic Pass. Probably a locals level that does not include Aspen and JH, only Copper, WP and Eldora.

In the Crested Butte newspaper this morning there was an article about them being dropped from a multi mountain pass. The spokesperson was being very tight lipped and said they were exploring options. I hope they pull something off. The article went on to say that front range skier visits were up the last few years they were on the RMSP. If they are a stand alone resort, unless you live close by it is hard to justify a pass there. With all the choices on the multi mountain passes it is hard to justify a single mountain pass anywhere really.

Telluride just got EPIC. Wow, shit ‘s getting real. In the press release they said they are glad to be adding this “iconic” resort. Hehe. Can’t wait for details to emerge on the Ikon Pass. Crested Butte not on either as of now.

saw on the news that Colorado as a whole is at 62% snowpack. The San Juans (where Telluride is) is at 38%. No bueno.

Lessons are good. Our instructor has us do multiple drills per session. Some of them don’t resonate with me but after some drills, something clicks. All subtle movements; opening the inside knee when initiating a turn, pushing the inside leg forward when finishing a turn, turning with your hips, keeping your poles forward etc. I highly recommend getting some instruction.

Interested to find out details on this as I hear they are not doing the Rocky Mountain Super Pass next year. I have bought that pass the last 5 years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
