  1. The house has been renting very well. I always wait till the last minute to reserve a few days for myself so I don’t give up income. Then it usually gets rented. It’s ok, House was over budget so nice to recoup some costs. With a vacation place you can only hope the rental income pays your expenses, everything else is gravy.
  2. I have been there 4 times total. Weekdays it’s completely empty. Was there MLK last year and the lift lines were better then, let’s say, Winter Park on a normal Saturday. They do some 2 for 1 deals with Shell and I usually go to the TGR ski movie at Boulder Theater in the fall and that gets you a free ticket as well (used on weekdays).
  3. Looks like Crested Butte is really out of the multi mountain game next season. Lift lines will be non existent.

  5. Absolutely puking snow here. We set out to snowshoe with myself breaking trail. Probably snowed at least a foot overnight. It was so socked in you could barely see. I had to keep my goggles up and deal with snow pelting my face because they were so fogged up I just couldn’t see. I didn’t take my phone out at all for pictures. We didn’t last long. Think it took an hour to cover a little over a mile. Should be an interesting snow coach ride back to Mammoth this afternoon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Yeah there are signs all over “naturally reseeded after 1988 fire”. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. @indiggio what time is your flight on Saturday? Mine is 1:50. I would love to meet you for a quick hello if we are there at the same time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Not on this trip but if Elk and Bison count I have had them many times.
  9. I always do a handful of XC days and I do log them. I have my own at home. These are rentals. I brought my snowshoes but wasn’t going through the hassle of bringing the skis. $18 for a half day rental....cheap! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I didn’t in summer, but winter here is magic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Cross country skied today. Forecast didn’t call for snow but it’s coming down hard here! Wanted some solitude so I chose to go out solo on a trail instead of with the other ladies. All along the trail were geysers. Really something to see with the snow and steam. They all looked stunning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. Very empty. This is the last week the park hotels are open then they close till summer. Just got to the old Faithful Lodge. This place much nicer then Mammoth. The snow coaches were very cool, just purchased in 2016. She said it would take 2.5 hours to get here, it took 4.5. But it was like our own private tour of the park. 14. I go on a lot of Bold Betties trips. Anyone (female) can go. But usually we are all the same level as far as fitness and wanting to push each other to do things. This group the ladies are a bit older. I’m just happy to be here. It’s very scenic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Arrived in Yellowstone late yesterday afternoon. Staying at Mammoth Hotel near the north entrance. Later today getting a snow coach to Old Faithful hotel. Girls on this trip seem a little less adventurous then I am used to. The majority opted to go see the Mammoth Terraces, which have boardwalks around some thermal features. There is a short snowshoe from that location. One girl and myself chose a longer snowshoe. We were the only ones on the trail and it was a beautiful morning. Saw lots of elk and have seen lots of buffalo from a safe distance. People are saying there have been a lot of wolf sightings this week so that would be cool. Sitting in the lodge now since I had to check out of my room before the snowshoe. Wish I could take a nice hot shower because I sweated my ass off on the uphill snowshoe and now I am really cold! 16. Looks so much better than Colorado right now. I have family in Columbia Falls and they have said they are getting tired of shoveling snow.
  17. Happy to share my passes, but next year it will only be 25% off. Eaf are you looking at trips this season or next?
  18. Just realized I can get my son a teen pass one more year. It goes by his age the date of purchase. Old pass would have been his age 11/1/18.
  19. Eaf, a few trips to Vermont and a trip out west would pay for this pass. I think some people will jump ship from the Epic Pass this year in favor of the Ikon. It definitely benefits Colorado the most. I think Winter Park is going to see a lot more traffic. Unless I am staying overnight, I can't justify doing day trips to the I-70 mountains on weekends. I can deal with the crowds because you can get some good runs in if you go early, but the traffic is a nightmare. I do get sick of Eldora, but its like you guys with Blue. I can be there in 35 minutes and it doesn't take up my whole day. Next closest is Winter Park which is 1 hour 45 min. Hoping to check out some new places with the Ikon, maybe Aspen, and I still have yet to go to Steamboat.
  20. I don’t care how sick you are.....this report needs pictures. Step it up! Really though that sucks you are sick.
  21. I did a motorcycle trip to Yellowstone in summer. In summer, I wasn't impressed. Too many people and I had already been living in Co for a number of years and the scenery was just meh. We had a traffic jam due to people being stopped all over the place to see a bear that if you put your finger in front of your face disappeared. Way far away in a meadow. We got passed that and less than 1/2 mile later a bear busted out of the woods running full speed and was about 10' in front of us running along the side of our bike on the shoulder. It was only maybe 10 seconds that he was running along side of us then he dove back into the trees. It all happened so fast and we were like WTF just happened. I am hoping I will like the park better in winter. We stayed in Grand Teton National Park a few days before we hit Yellowstone, I enjoyed that more. Sorry for the hijack, I'm done.
  22. I’m flying into Bozeman Monday night to head to Yellowstone. Also flying home 3/3. Maybe we will see each other.
  23. Wow, that’s huge!
  24. Also Doug looking at the FAQ I see starting 4/9 you can use it this year at WP. So you could have 2 days of your skifari there and 5-7 at JH next year (depending on which option).
