  1. will it run with the choke on? either its not getting fuel, or its getting too much air. i have a shitty 2 stroke blower that vibrates so much that the needle valve for the fuel works itself closed, and starts sputering. just an idea, and without knowing what kind of engine it is, kind of a crap shoot....but on the carb there should be a thumb screw with a spring on it...you can try turning it out some, (loosen it) just try to remember how many turns you take it out, so you can get it back where it was.
  2. stay tuned for a meeting time or times. it really wont be hard to spot the PASR's, looks like a pretty big group skiing primarily east mt.
  3. we should all be rooting for a big snow over JF.
  4. this is basically what i was refering to: CONFIDENCE: CONFIDENCE ON SNOWFALL AMOUNTS AT OR ABOVE 6 INCHES IN THE POCONOS AND FAR NORTHWEST NEW JERSEY IS A LITTLE LESS THAN YESTERDAY DUE TO A SOUTHEASTWARD SHIFT IN STORM EVOLUTION. CONFIDENCE FROM ALLENTOWN TO TRENTON FOR A SUBSTANTIAL WINTER EVENT IS ABOVE AVERAGE this thing keeps going back and forth. needs a westerly shift.
  5. this storms all over the place. like johnny law said, this could do real well for the poconos, provided it stays on track. but i am reading more like wednesday/thursday.
  6. Cold morning. PA Ridge Racer, Phillycore and myself met up first thing to make some turns before they had to head off for check in. i was kind of suprised to see that the near zero temps had really firmed things up some. areas that were playful powder yesterday were hardpack today. Our first run down the elevator was eventful, as things that looked soft, werent so soft. Challenge glade had some leftover powder in it, but also a few very icy spots. PC ventured way off skiers right of challenge glade to find some powder in some really tight trees/brush, and came out releativly unscathed. Managed to ski a bunch of runs with PA RR and PC, up until i left at about 12:30. we even made a run down challenge through the gates they had set up for the race team. we should be forming the JF-PASR race crew shortly. Good snow day, finally got to make some turns with PC. A few pics. Top of Elevator PA RR PC PA RR PC JAHHDIP
  7. good day - i think like everyone else, i thought twice about skiing today with the cold temps, but light winds and sun made it perfect.
  8. yep. Risk it. Elevator will still be good too.
  9. Back from morning session at Frost. Very nice conditions, 5-6 inches of fresh powder everywhere. very light crowds. Didnt ski too many trails today when e-glade, elevator, and challenge were all prime. ROTD was challenge glade - best day of the year for sure, nice to kinda jump the bumps and have a real nice soft landing. The elevator skied real nice today as well. skiers right still has lots of powder on it, the runout at the bottom of that side still has some big snow boulders covered up. the area in between E-glade and the elevator is filling in nicely. some pics.... 10. so much snow in all the right places.....keep your fingers crossed....could be a repeat event.
  11. next week right now looks big - but there may be some temperature issues.....4 or so days away.
  12. it looks like LV - Poconos are in the jackpot zone for Friday. Could be decent. Snow next week too.
  13. Tomorrow morning is going to be very interesting to say the least. this weekend is looking promising, though.
  14. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha....... on a more serious note, this ones gonna be close for LV and north....hopefully some snow then mix/ice/rain....ice sucks. there could be a few inches behind this one (insert Angry Hugo reply here) midweek, then a chance for something late week.
  15. Rolled in about 9 am, met up with PA Ridge Racer to make a few runs. PC was in the house but never could connect. Saw C1er in One Park Glade. Started out real cold, snow was white....blah, blah, blah. Picture is worth a thousand words..... PA Ridge Racer JAHHDIP
  16. i have been doing daily IOW (instead of working) sessions at frost this week. conditions were nice today, challenge glade is getting pretty bumped up with just a few spots where coverage is getting a little thin. baller route on the elevator is hardpack, skiers right still has some fun powder in it. skiers left on thunderbolt is currently ungroomed, and looks like it may stay that way. one park glade continues to be overlooked and is always nice, like challenge glade though, there are a few spots to be careful of. no lift lines to speak of. JAHHDIP
  17. i have been skiing frost pretty much all week and i havent seen anything above 24 degrees here. as GSS would say, "its ubber cold". i would image blue temps to be slightly higher, but not that much higher.
  18. fluffy, you seem to be somewhat connected at frost so i will ask you....is there any way we can get the fine grooming crew to mow down the huge snow boulders on floyds? skiers right, below risk it. thats a really fun place to play when there is some fresh powder. currently its kinda dangerous. thanks in advance.
  19. definetly a good snow day. nice powder everywhere. the baller route down the elevator isnt holding snow real well in the usual spots, but skiers right is deep with powder. Risk it is skiable but the ride out can be tricky. challenge glade deep. one park glade is still awesome. PA Ridge on elevator Pa Ridge in Risk it. JAHHDIP
  20. pretty good snow in the poconos considering its not suppossed to really get going till a little later. snow shovel is tuned up and ready to go.
  21. bumps on exhibition. trees will be good if we get a few inches.
