They are actually pretty good.....much more than an amatuer met. Like you said, so far his stuff has been pretty accurate, and doesnt overhype a small snowstorm.

At this point i would do opening day at Boulder, which i vowed earlier never to do again. looks like we start getting into some colder temps next week. nothing awesome, but at least it starts getting colder.

lukoil has the coupons for JF/BB. theres some kind of buy one get one free for most days of the week up until Christmas i think. theres on day that doesnt apply, i think. and the by one get one free for sundays there after.

as much as i want this to happen, i'm gonna make some plans for Thanksgiving weekend that dont revolve around the idea of skiing in PA. i think the cold shot we were supposed to get for November is gonna wait a while. i hope i am wrong.

yup. i guess as dumb as it sounds, i really had no idea it would be me, and 6,000 other people, skiing on the smallest slope at Boulder of all places.

After the line i stood in 2 years ago to ski freedom at Big Boulder, i swore i would never do opening day/weekend again. and from Jeff's pic last year the lift line seems to be the same whether its the poconos or vermont. This is usually the time a year a friend starts calling me about going somewhere early, like Vermont. i am dying to go skiing, anywhere, but i just cant justify a trip to Vermont to ski limited terrain, and spend almost the same as i would when the whole mountain is open. thats just me though. i know Moe was in town for some other things, and the slopes just happen to be there.

good choice on getting something pretty current too.....i had 3 old snowmobiles and it seems like i spent more time fixin them than i did riding them. worst place to have a toy that requires a decent snowbase is PA too.

check the starting amps on that heat pump......it may go above what a 15kw generator can do. not saying it wouldnt start, but i bet that compressor has some pretty high start up amps.....like maybe 3-4 times running amps.

you can run a ton of shit around your house on a 10k generator. you want to size it over what you need for startup of motors and the like, but if you need 10k, and get 15k, really all you are doing is burning that much more fuel, and when you get up into that size genset, they are not really kind on fuel. a friend of mine just bought a house with a 16kw propane Generac with auto transfer...its a really cool set up. totally automatic.
