1. Of course I would. I'm not disrespectful like you.
2. Elk day in feb?
3. Dude book it. Buy your lift tix too before they sell out. You tootoast21602 and anyone who wants to ski up there. You should know that Cobble mountain is in lake placid technically but it's just outside of town. You're not walking out of your room and into the heart of the action. It's a 2 or 3 minute drive to food and all of that. Cobble mountain is on the way to white face...about 10 min drive. It's pretty quiet there which is good during hockey season when every high school and middle school in the northeast descends on the lp
4. "To keep kids on the snow" was a witty take on DARE. Nicely don't to whoever coined that (@AtomicSkier )? we've matured like a fine wine over the nearly 2 decades now. instead of stickers I say we bring back the "Men of PASR Calendar" idea. We could see if the local ski shops and true blue would be interested in carrying it.
5. Why must you be a clown?
6. Debating on tonight. Have a feeling conditions could be ass though.
7. Zonkeds cabin is booked through mid April from what I can see. If people were serious about that I think we'd need to book it really early.
8. This was a blast. https://www.paskiandride.com/forums/topic/19981-whiteface-lake-placid-2019/?tab=comments#comment-411509
9. Got wf Lift tix on 3-1 and 3-2 so far. Probably ski Belle the day before.
10. Edit if other PASRs were interested in that cabin I could be down. Was gonna post up in the fall to see of anyone was interested but the whole worldwide pandemic, travel restrictions thing had me thinking that probably wasn't a good idea.
11. Have fun. I got cobble mountain booked in March.
12. I see what you did there. WTGAI. I'm jelly.
13. Very very nice morning. Early razors run and main was $$. As was switch. Good crew as always and good skiing! Great day.
14. March Sometimes it snows. And snows hard. March is the ideal time to visit; by then the mountains have a sufficient snow base and it’s historically when the big storms come. The past few Marches have left the mountain with several feet of snow overnight. https://www.lakeplacid.com/story/2019/01/skiing-whiteface-when-crowds-are-thin The snowiest week in Whiteface Mountain (Lake Placid) is week 2 of March. There are typically 4.0 snowy days during this week with 10.6 in of snowfall. Check out the Whiteface Mountain (Lake Placid) Snow History graphs below. Select any week of the year to see the typical Ski Conditions, Snowfall Amount and Temperature based on nowcast weather data over the last 11 years. https://www.snow-forecast.com/resorts/Whiteface-Mountain/history Whiteface averages 54% open at New Year's with nearly half of seasons being less than half open by New Year's. Much of the skiing is on exposed ridgelines that can be stripped of loose snow by the wind. Snow preservation is aided by high altitude and latitude in eastern context, so Whiteface averages 85% open mid-March and 70% open at first of April. Spring is the most likely time for Whiteface's Slides, some of the East's best expert terrain, to be open. https://www.zrankings.com/ski-resorts/175-whiteface-mountain
15. 5 to 6 hours for Whiteface is well worth it. You'd travel 12 or so to steamboat. I like wf better.
16. They add more than that.
17. Threats have no place in these forums.
18. Mine was taken from my living room. Toast clearly broke out his jet pack and took his from about 200 feet up.
19. Toast beat me to posting the sunrise this morning
20. Nice photoshop job salty. I believed it for a second.
21. Covered bridge road, where you start driving into the shadow of the beast, is like the Blue Mountain version of "oh my gosh corner" at sugarloaf.
22. Idk. Sun came out...snow softened up. It was good. What can I tell you. As was switch and main. Sidewinder was a close second and challenge was hard in spots. Conditions like tonight (warm, semi spring like) are perfect for NMDW (RIP). Makes no sense that their best trail is closed now for over a week during a busy time of year. I know why it is...I just don't get it.
23. Ahh very cool.. If that makes you happy. It can't be that bad.
